GOLEMZ v1.7 GENERAL GAMEPLAY This is an AoS but its simpler then others. So far there are 12 hereoes, but I'm not planning on adding much more. Well, maybe but not soon. Instead of a fountain, you have a circle of power, and when you enter it, you heal your mana and life. After a few kills and a paycheck from your team, you can buy items at the fortress. Items differ from cheap tomes (nothing too imbalanced), compact towers to various spell items. If you get stuck a lot, just buy a rune of teleportation. VERY useful. After 30 minutes of fighting, all heroes are transported to another battlefield, where they fight until all the golems from the other team have been eliminated. At first this was a battle where you had to destroy another building, but this proved long and faulty, and has now been replaced with a Hero battle, which shouldn't last very long. Make sure to have some preparations before you get to the battle, it will be very useful.

the good things : - nice model, especially the cannon tower rocket, reminds me of red alert v3 launcher the bad things : - poor spell tooltips (some spell dont even show how many damage it does, or the bonus it gives) - the ground is damn narrow, always get stuck in the middle of golem going no where - biggest taboo in AoS game : tomes (i hate tomes in ANY game, it screw up the balance so badly) - nicely balanced and also... too balanced, make things boring overtime. - ya thinking too much of DotA, time to extend it to other field such as PRG or maybe RTS. overall rating... 4/10 |

here's how I'll fix those problems... poor spell tooltips (some spell dont even show how many damage it does, or the bonus it gives) redo each spell, obviously. the ground is damn narrow, always get stuck in the middle of golem going no where either make smaller collison size or make bigger corridors or both. Or maybe a blink item... maybe. biggest taboo in AoS game : tomes (i hate tomes in ANY game, it screw up the balance so badly) actually, these tomes dont screw balance that much, they cost 5 gold and only give +1 attribute. So even with 60 gold, you only get +12, which isn't that much actually. nicely balanced and also... too balanced, make things boring overtime. Well, good, its balanced. BUT, I see you're right, it does get alittle boring over time. So I'll add hazards like some random troll guy that drops bombs... or randomly give blue or red troops extra units. ya thinking too much of DotA, time to extend it to other field such as PRG or maybe RTS. ... I don't know how I can fix that though... overall rating... 4/10 I always felt it was smooth enough to get more, oh well, I'll work on it more. |

bump + reminder I updated. New features: -a few hazards, mroe to come eventually, but its not all that necessary. -Spell tips redone, recolored and some new spells. -new final battle terrain. To come sometime: -new "secret golems"... -random golem selection -new items... hopefully. Map is complete. there can be more BUT, its complete. |

OKAY, now ALL the bugs should be fixed. No hotkey problems, no spell is overpowered, but still, if you see something you want to add or feel needs fixing, tell me. |

Unfortunately, the use of the word "DotA" really put me off downloading this map. If you want us to try it, than why say it is similar to another map that most of us already know about? Having an AoS style of play is fine, as long as you don't reinvent the wheel and try to make it unique. |

I only said DotA becaus some ppl on BNet, don't know what AoS means... Anyway, I took it off, seeing as its such a flame magnet.. |

Updated to 1.7 I can assure you this isn't any cheap AoS or a DotA copy. I haven't even played DotA... well, once but my hero REALLY sucked. |
