I have noticed that with threads in either the Trigger or General Development forums, when you post with a problem, and there are a few posts on it, with the last being yours, people generally think that the problem has been resolved, and the thread seems to stop... Until you bump it a while later. (thinking that the last post was you saying thanks for their help, not to clarify or something). What I am proposing is a flag (perhaps another small icon next to the title) that says whether the thread starter's problem has been resolved or not, which they can take down when they have recieved the information they need. This way, you can look at a thread, and tell whether the poster still needs help or not, saving the creation of a new thread asking for more help. It's just an idea, and it seems useful from my personal experience, but I was wondering if it would be helpful to any others? Thanks. |

Very unlikelly people would use it, think about how many people actually give rep when they get help. It also is not too easy to add. But I actually don't skip threads in the way you describe. |

Likewise. |

Hmm.. K. It was just an idea, based on my personal experience of the forums, I'm sure everyone isn't the same... Quote:

Hardly any people give rep for help. If they did, I'd have far more rep than any mere artist. As it is, I'm a puny 29th (and I have no idea how that happened). |

It's the reality. If someone sees a piece of art they love, they stare at it and then spam the rep button (while downloading it if it's a resource). If someone gets help with a problem, they'll rush off to go and try the solution instead of repping. The whole system is worthless anyway. It only holds up if people use it correctly, which is never going to happen. |
