Messed up hotkeys - need workaround

This is my first post - so hi everybody. :)

Over at www.eletd.com we encountered a weird problem. Somehow the hotkeys of the Elemental Td got messed up in the final. Sigh.

Players with the english version of TFT find everything all right, but german players have their hotkey for fire tower changed from "F" to "L". And once they get the abillity to build "L"ight towers, even that wont work anymore.

Just to be painstakingly precise: To build a fire tower a german player presses "G" for "Gebäude bauen" (construct building) and then not "F" but "L" to select the fire tower on the submenu.

At first I thought that the hotkey got daringly mapped to a localized key that reads "L" in the german and "F" in the english version, but I can't find such a key. I checked the custom keys txt, and there are numorous instances of "F" in the english and "L" in the german version, but I can't find a single case of both reffering to the same command.

So has anybody of you ever heard of messed up hotkeys for different language versions?

How does it happen? I suspect a "make cool stuff by one click and don't bother me with details"-tool.

And how to fix it? There won't be a 3.1 for some time, so maybe there is a way to figure out which hotkey was corrupted and to force an "F" instead by using the custom key feature.

There are probably hundreds of german eletd fans and some of them actually use their hotkeys. ^^

Wait... People actually use hotkeys to upgrade buildings?! Well ya learn something new every day. Hm... This seems... Very confusing... I rather lack expertise in this area but It seems to me... Are there any other messed up Keys?

The upgrade key works fine, it's the build key that is messed up.

So you can upgrade a fire tower to a higher level with "F" but you can't build the initial small fire tower with "F" in the german version. oO

And there seem to be no other broken keys. At least noone reported some, but the map is still young.. ^^

have you considered using another hotkey? the hotkey doesnt have to be the first one in the name..

Well, good idea.

But i just tried to change ALL hotkeys using "L" in the german custom txt, and none was used for the fire tower.

So, it seems I can't change the hotkey in question in the custom keys txt. :(

How is it possible that a key cannot be changed in the custom keys txt?

And even more so: How is it possible that a map contains a different hotkey for different language versions of tft?

I'll assume some default setting were left in the map, which were overridden.
