Armed 'n Loaded

Story :

An epic war which was waged for centuries, a war where you'd never see such powerful warriors and heroes alike, in a place so cold, just as cold as their enraged hearts. Deadly swords stained in blood, sharp arrows in flight, get ready, because this is more than a fight. Wield thick shields, or wear giant armors, may it be iron or just plain cotton. Blood-thirsty and horrible, foam-flanked and terrible, creatures underground, long forgotten as they sleep in sound. Awoken by innocent people, destroyed their slumber so stable. Arrogant and greedy, so powerful but needy, for they have lost
prosperity. Thirsty for gold they are, for they wish to win this war. Without valuable resources, they would become rotting corpses. Two races who have achieved so much, but they still greed for gold and such. One war it takes, for them to meet, their dead fellow's fleet. For this war was hell-sent, and it shall go on, for nothing will stop it in it's advent.


I know the poetry is pretty gay, but it's the best I could do, I can't think of anything more, just for you. ( lolololol ) Ok, time to get on to the map itself.

A long forgotten race, the Forgotten Ones, was awoken by the High Elves. So the forgotten ones take revenge and take everything they have, but the high elves want the forgotten one's treasure. There is no reallly a good side or a bad side here. They are both greedy damnit, so just choose your side!

The Faceless Ones

These are the ugly creatures you see in blizzard's undead campaign. They are purple or pink in color, and have an ugly face and 3 long dumb fingers, but their war clubs are very powerful, so watch out for them. They have trained some to equip crossbows and such, they have also learned the arts of black magic. Their treasure lies beneath the Forgotten One, a ziggurat look-alike, it is also their Town Hall. Their base's defences are nothing more than thick, giant tentacles that toxic goo, they are unarmored, but they attack damn fast and has a medium attack, with poison. I'll get deeper later on.

Faceless Soldier -

Purple colored skin and faceless, this basic melee unit can offer it's great strength and high hp. But is low on armor.

Attack Damage : 55-60
Attack Type : Normal
Hit Points : 630
Armor Type : Unarmored
Armor : 5
Attack Speed : Medium Fast

Faceless Marksman -

This faceless one was well trained in marksmanship, it can shoot from afar with deadly accuracy, but with it's low hp and low armor, it can be vulnerable to melee units.

Attack Damage : 65-70
Attack Type : Piercing
Hit Points : 460
Armor Type : Unarmored
Armor : 1
Attack Speed : Fast

Faceless Warlock

A faceless one who didn't make it into becoming a warrior, or a marksman. Instead, it went on to the basics of black magics, and soon it became a high-ranking warlock. Do not attempt to fight it alone, as it's spells will hurt you.
They are weakest at head-to-head combat though.

Attack Damage : 10-15
Attack Type : Magic
Hit Points : 330
Armor Type : Unarmored
Armor : 0
Attack Speed : Slow
Special : Can summon a small tentacle to aid him and his allies. The tentacle deals 40-50 damage, has light armor, and has a very fast attack speed.

The Forgotten One's Tentacle

The base's defences, this tentacle was grown from the Forgotten One to protect itself. It's attack is very low, but it makes up for it with it's attack speed and it's special ability. And it also has weak unarmored defence.

Attack Type : Chaos
Hit Points : 1000
Armor Type : Unarmored
Armor : 15
Attack Speed : Very Fast
Special : Has a poison attack, which slows unit's it attacks for 10% and deals 15 damage per second for 5 seconds.

The Blood Elves

The Blood Elves, as explained in blizzard's campaign, is a fallen clan of the high elves.( I maybe wrong, that's most of I can remember. ) These are magic-thirsty, but in Armed 'n Loaded, they are also gold-thirsty. They have a seriously bad offensive capabilties ( unlike the Faceless Ones ), but makes up for it with good defences ( unlike the Faceless ONes, AGAIN ). So you see, both races are balanced ^^.

Blood Elf Swordsman

The basic melee unit of the blood elves, these have high hp and armor, but have low attack damage and attack speed. But do not underestimate them.

Attack Damage : 30-35
Attack Type : Normal
Hit Points : 710
Armor Type : Heavy
Armor : 9
Attack Speed : Very Slow

Blood Elf Ranger

A female blood elf, mastering the arts of archery. She can deal a good amount of damage from afar, while having armor good enough to withstand melee units that get too close, and hp to withstand other marksman's arrows.

Attack Damage : 35-45
Attack Type : Piercing
Hit Points : 530
Armor Type : Medium
Armor : 7
Attack Speed : Slow

Blood Elf Lieutenant

A melee version of the faceless one's faceless warlock, though he has learned the arts of magickery, he is still a melee unit. He is a melee unit and a support unit, a balanced warrior.

Attack Damage : 20-30
Attack Type : Magic
Hit Points : 550
Armor Type : Light
Armor : 5
Attack Speed : Medium

The Blood Tower

The defences of the Blood Elves' base. It shoots large ammunition that cannot be seen by the naked eye. When it hits, a large amount of blood is lost and spurts from the target's body, making it look like the Blood Tower shoots blood. It deals a large amount of damage, while dealing DoT to the target, but it has a low defence.

Attack Type : Chaos
Hit Points : 900
Armor Type : Fortified
Armor : 0
Attack Speed : Very Fast

*Sigh*, my hands are hurting, but I must go on. AnL includes cool features and other common features. But it is a quality map, and if you shall EVER call this a dota-style map. I will punch you in the balls so hard that I will create a vagina. So you better not call it a "dota-style" map, because it's called an AoS. Anyways...

This map includes ... :

-A uniquely done balancing system, meaning everything is balanced. The Blood Elves may not have powerful creeps, but they sure do have high defence, unlike the Faceless Ones.

-Fast-paced Gameplay, meaning you can finish the game in 25-30 minutes or so. So that it doesn't get boring too easily.

-The Warzones. These are special places on the map specifically designed for massive PvP mauling and pwning.

-Spell Runes, pick this up and you'll get a NEW skill, but only for a short time.

-An Assist system.

-6v6 gameplay.

-Hear how your allies feel! Some of the creeps talk while in battle.

-100% JASSed up! No GUI allowed.

-Unique heroes. Each hero has 3 normal skills, 1 special skill or an ultimate, and 1 signature move which doesn't require mana to use.

Thx for the replies guys, anyways I will just average the total suggestions for each questions. And I'm gonna add in my unique ideas, the way you see it it is unoriginal, the way I see it its a bunch of ideas gathered from different people and put in an AoS so they can have fun. And thanks again for your replies . And I'm not finished with it yet, still have more questions but we have to leave in 2 hours for a roadtrip.

Q.) What size would be better?
160x128, if its (x,y), I think worldedit does (y,x) in the map creation screen. Long lanes tend to be more fun, no one likes running back and waiting after hitting a tower. Its also bad when an enemy hero sneaks behind one group of towers and starts ambushing computer units and other heroes.
Q.) Should an AoS be 6v6 or 5v5?
6 versus 6, why not?
Q.) What races should be battling each other? Choose two of the choices provided below :
Whatever you would have a semi-intresting story to back with. If the Draenei and Orcs are fighting just 'cuz, it isn't very fun.
Q.) Which corners should each race's base be placed?
South-West & North-East
Q.) Should runes appear? If yes where should they appear :
Random point in a random lane.( Ex. a rune appeared somewhere on lane X, where X is the number of the random lane. ) They shouldn't spawn completely randomly, though.
Q.) How many lanes would you like an AoS to have?
Personally, I like fewer so you get more hero action. So I'd go with 3 lanes.
Q.) Which do you think is better? A travelling "secret shop" or a stand-by "secret shop" ?
Both. :p
Q.) How would you like your hero to revive?
A ghost will appear at the Spirit Master, then you have to move the ghost to your corpse. ( Used in Extreme Candy Wars 2004 ), though I'm probably biased after having played wow for so long.
Good luck on making an aos (or dotalololz) that breaks the mold!

I think the answers to these questions would make an really unoriginal AoS. Try to think behind the usual concept.
Who said that a AoS needs lanes?
Who decided that the bases needs to be in the corners?
Does it even have to be different races, could there be another way then just 2 teams fighting eachother to death?

I don't understand you say AoS are all the same before telling us you will make another AoS and asking us to answere your MCQ

Which in the end lead you to make an unoriginal AoS.
If you want to make a map imo you shouldn't think "i will make an AoS" or TD or tag etc...
You should think as if there were no preset map type wich limit your possibilty.

And making a map from random people opinions is a bad idea because we all have different opinion.

Actually no, I wouldn't want black squares in my Interface.

So each unique hero will have :
5 Abilities.
-1 innate
-3 standard abilities
*I try to keep atleast 2 active and 1 passive.
-1 special ability
*Kinda like an ultimate except it's not his ultimate.
*It also has 2 levels.
-1 signature move
*A special unique ability that can be acquired when you reach the maximum level, which is 20. It is very unique and costs alot of mana, but it's the best ability a hero can have.

And I try to have atleast 4 JASS triggered skills. I will post information about items later.

***Oh yeah, sorry for replying so long. It's GMT+8:00 here, so I usually recieve replies when I'm asleep and I usually reply when you're asleep.

Hey, don't worry I'm not forcing you to help with me here. I'm only asking for your feedbacks & suggestions. BTW, fast reply I just took a poop then a reply already wow lol. And helping on so many different projects is very tedious and you might not help them 100%. OK about the Items.

Item Standards:

-Each item should promote Team- Co-op, which means it should'nt make the hero uber and he gets to kill everyone all by himself. Usually these items give mana regen, minor stat bonuses( about 1-10 ), minor hp bonus, and more. And they should not give the hero :
>Windwalk-like skills
>Blink
>Ability to Reset Cooldowns
>Uber Damage boosts
>Uber Armor boosts
>Unfair advantage.

-Each item has a reasonable price.
-Each item is unique.
-Each item does not make a hero uber.
-Each item is simple and is worth the gold.
-Each item does not have long-time disables.

Unique Items Standards :
Unique items are items which cost very high and give the Hero special abilities, while not making him uber.

-Each Unique Item costs expensive
-Each Unique Item is worth the money.
-Each Unique Item gives the Hero unique, special abilities.
-Each Unique Item does not make the hero uber.
-Each Unique Item has recipes.
-Each Unique Item is unique.

Combo Items :
Combo Items are items that when combined, give the hero cool abilities.My example : My hero has all Deathlord items( Shield, Crown, Gauntlets, Sword, Boots of the Deathlord ). Then he puts all of them onto the Forger, and the Forger combines all of them and turns them into one item. That item gives him ability to transform into a deathlord, a powerful demon ability,with 1 innate ability, 3 standard abilities, 1 special ability, and 1 signature move. All of them completely with 'cohesion' of the deathlord's background.

-Combo Items give the hero special abilities that exceed the abilities other items give to the hero.
-Combo Items have cohesion with their other 'partners'
-Combo Items have 'partners' with almost the same name.( Ex. Shield of the Deathlord & Crown of the Deathlord are 'partners' but they require their other 'partners' in order to give the hero a special ability )
-Combo Items only work when the you combine them all at the Forger.
-Combo Items does not give anything to the hero until the hero acquires all of it's 'partners'

*To make Combo Items work, you have to put all of them in the forger then he combines them into one item.
*'Partners' are a combo item's component.
*You can have more than one Combo Item.(Example., You combined all Deathlord Combo Items, now you have ONE Combo Item Pack, which has it's special ability. You can create another Deathlord Combo Item pack or a different one. )

Yeah, but if you make it within 3 weeks it would be tons better than terrain done in a day. And you can't rush a good thing you know. And school delays my work so...
