Here's a challenge...

First, I mention I have no authority here and do not think of myself as someone with it, but I have and idea for a model and not wanting to see me mess it up and hoping for it to come out from professional hands, I propose an idea:

Star Wars: Episode 3 Crab Droid

To anyone who played the game or saw it in the movies (very brief moment I think). BUT, the crab droid isn't known to everyone but still, I think it's one of the coolest models I've ever seen. SO, I was hoping someone MIGHT just want to do a Warcraft version.

Things to remember are the guns under the crab, the shell, the eye, there are actually feet on the legs (this isn't necessary but it'd give more polish to the model) and other then that, just look a the picture I put up.

What WIKI has to say about crab droids:

Hidden information:
The CIS LM-432 Crab Droid is an infantry-scale droid developed especially for use on swampy, muddy or other squishy-surfaced planets such as Utapau. Nicknamed ‘the Muckracker’ by Clone Troopers, Crab Droids scuttle over the terrain on 6 large, strong legs. They can wade through water or muck with their blaster-wielding head held above the surface while raking the area in front with laserfire. They are quite useful on hard surfaces, too; their powerful legs allow them to move quickly and their twin blasters can cover large arcs to destroy unfortunate Clone Troopers. Some were even equipped with Gungan bubble-wort launchers that allowed them to capture enemies in energy spheres.

Introduced in the later stages of the Clone Wars, Crab Droids had special suction pods on their legs that allowed them to slurp up mud and clear a path for conventional infantry. They were also heavily armoured, but did have their weaknesses: if a Clone Trooper managed to get around to the unprotected back of the droid they could jump on its head and fire through its lightly-protected sensor casing into the central processor, destroying it instantly. However, this was very hard to do, as Crab droids could either swat enemies that came near then with their pincers or mow them down with their blaster cannons, and much bravery and skill was needed to get anywhere near them.

Crab droids were highly adaptable, and thanks to the modular assembly lines of the Techno Union, many models could be produced. These ranged from the small scouts droids or 5-6 meter tall trailblazers packed with extra firepower and suited for use even in lakes and other not-too-deep bodies of water which could destroy larger targets such as vehicles.

this isn't a request, I never asked for anyone to make this.

I said it was a suggestion and I found it would be a good project... No one has to make it, but if you think you can and want...

If somebody wants to make this kind of thing, he or she will. If an artist is looking for ideas, he or she will ask for them. This is just a very politely worded request.

And that is all beside the point - it had nothing whatsoever to do with MDL editing.

Well then sorry, I put it in the totally wrong place. My fault, now its fixed.

I really think this can be a challenge for anyone, but that depends how resemblent you want it. Personally, I think it'd make an awesome unit and I'd love to make it myself, BUT, I have no skill whatsoever in model creating, and I don't want to download 3dsmax or Milkshape...

Anyways, I love crab droids...

If you want to see something simmilar, check on wc3s, I made a Star Wars Dwarf Spider Droid once, based on the spider model.

yes I saw that one. Unfotunatly, the only dwarf spider droid I like is the Republic commando one. It looks like a giant tank compared to the little dwarf on four legs from the movies.

And, its not that similar: more legs on the crab, head is flatter and it only has one eye, legs are longer, bulkier and less mechanical, and there's two guns under the belly. :)
