Well, it's me....again. I cannot continue on my Starcraft: Terran Defense with the World Edit bug in the way. So now, I'm starting this one. This is just like Starcraft: Terran Defense so don't get too excited! In this map, you play as a Protoss and must defend the Nexus in the middle. The Nexus is the heart of the Protoss world so defend it well. You have a few minutes between waves because there are just so many. It's like Eternity calls but with a bit of changes. Here's the information: Map Name: Starcraft: Auir Guardians Map Genre: Castle Defense Map Information: The only world that has exceeded today's technology is Auir. Inhabbited by the intelligent Protoss, they have developed more by the years. This however, caught the attention of the ambitious Zerg. Now, the world of Auir is in danger. Can you protect it? Players: 8 Humans and 2 Computers Forces: Protoss Army: Player 1 Player 2 Player 3 Player 4 Player 5 Player 6 Player 7 Player 8 Zerg Swarm: Player 9 (Baelrog Brood) Player 10 (Jormungand Brood) Terrain Tileset: Ruins Progress: Terrain: |||||||||| Objects: |||||||||| Triggers: |||||||||| Imports: |||||||||| Completion: |||||||||| |

Just a suggestion you seem to have many projects going on at once, wouldn't it be better to just focus on one and one only? I mean the protoss and terran maps sound interesting but making two castle defense genres just seems like wasted effort to me. I thought of something like this before but I can never fully devote myself to a project, here's some of the ideas I had: - Some kind of Psi system, the one I had in mind was a central pylon that slowly charges up. All photon cannons/weapons/abilities tapped this source for energy, if the pylon is drained the defenses are pretty much destroyed. - Ability to call for air support, like a scout doing a strafing run. Not sure how you can make it look convincing, make sure you get the animated model. Maybe shuttle drops, like "psi batteries" for emergencies. - Energy shields of course, related to the psi idea. Maybe even make it so HP never regens, so it's 100% important to keep your shield up at all times since if an enemy breaks through it the damage is irreversible. - Batteries that act either as moonwells or you could give the protoss players a take mana and a give mana channel ability so you could shift the psi around, not sure how you would implement it. Just tossing out my thoughts, good luck with your project hope it gives you some ideas. |

Don't try, you can't work on 9 serious projects at the same time. If you continue this way you'll turn out like me, with loads of one-day projects. Just trying to help you man. :/ |

No it's not what you think. The LOAZ, LOAP, LOAT, and Zerg Invasion, I am "going" to make them, not working on them, but if you steal my map ideas, expect me barging into your thread saying you stole my map idea. The Feudal Japan and Twisting Nether ORPG, I'm 50% done. Now for the Naruto ORPG, my friend xXxS4suk3xXx is working on it (Terrain, Objects, Triggers, and so on), but he got something that makes his WE function wierd. EDIT: And skatj, yes, I will use the Psi system you suggested but the air support isn't really bad. Nice idea and refreshing my memory for the Psi system. |
