Importing into WE question

I'm sorry if this has been answered elsewhere, but every-time I import a model into WE and try to add it to a unit's Art - Model File, it always changes from an .mdx to a .mdl which is not readable by WE and Warcraft III.

Here's an example:

Then once I click OK, BLAM it chanes to a .mdl!

Who cares? It's still saved as .mdx

Although WE is supposed to be looking for the .mdx file it is looking for the .mdl file which does not exist. Even if it was saved as a MDL it wouldn't work in Warcraft III

It says MDL, but that is not a problem. If it displays that error, it is not due to the extension being wrong. Either the model is corrupt or it is imported wrong. Make sure you have the texture paths set correctly. Also save, close, and reopen the WE if you have not done so.

Ahh sweet thank you, saving and re-opening WE helped with most of the files so I guess some are corrupted or imported wrong.
