[HD] Scion of the Storm

This was the skin i finished for my take of the scion character in tob which didnt get in. Dont worry though edits are soon to come and i will keep trying.

I usually dislike medivh skins but this one looks awesome

It looks good. I like it a lot. I just can't see it being appropriate for the Scion.

Concerning the intention (Scion of the Storm from ToB) it does not seem to fit. The lightning pattern does not look enough like lightning, and you used a lot of blue and silver/grey, so it seems more like an ice or water mage rather than a lightning mage.

It may be from playing ToB too much, but I'd suggest getting rid of the fringe on the mantle and using a different color for the cloak, since your texture seems to be lacking red and green. If you look at lightning, there really isn't any silver/grey in the background, making it charactaristically less icy. Also, images of lightning tend to be purplish as well as many instances of red and brown colors in the sky/background.

I agree that it looks more an ice mage than a storm mage: the cape and hood looks covered by a thiny amount of ice. The old scion skin was more misterious and menacing overall (maybe due a darker color scheme, and undefined face). As it is, imo is a good texture, but doesn't fit much the character.

I like the skin as a whole --

But I hate skin themes that assume just because a character uses lightning that they need lightning everywhere.
The Scion skin already in ToB wins because it takes an idea and makes it into a personality.
That's something this skin falls severely short in doing.
No offense intended, of course.

Really can't offer suggestions to get it more "Sciony," because the skin looks good.
It just isn't the Scion though.

Ya people at ToB forums seem to agree and i see there points. Im going to try a few more things with this and if anything good comes of it then ill post it, if not im still leaving this version up for DL as i still think its a good texture that could go to use somewhere.

I still loathe that fur trim.

Yes I 2 despise that fur, but the skin is awesome nonetheless

You need to write down the skins path. I could easely edit it, but i want users to take they're own responsubility in living up to the rules ;)
