Ok, so im starting a map, its a multiplayer pool game, but im missing the key things, a pool table, and pool balls. I'v never created or edited skins or models before, so i have no experience on how to create them. So im asking for:
I will get some screenies for what im looking for, this is a big request im sorry, but i really have no clue how i could do these myself. Thanks in advance, big help. Some screenies:
The pool table and cue does not need a animation but stand, theyre not going to move. And for the ball, just it spinning 360 forward, im not going to introduce spin on the ball till a later version. |

I beleive there's a Sphere model somewhere or another around here. |

Interesting idea TideHunter. I think the table can be "replaced" with terrain taking the pool table shape. Maybe you can request a tileset in an extreme case. Just an idea. |

Why do you need to see under the table? Pointless imo. |

Yea Id just go with a tileset. Are you planning on building a physics system or something for this? |

If the intire thing was just flat with nothing else, it wouldent seem like a table, but i surpose it is just more work for a little thing, i tileset would do i think. And yes, im planning a physics system, gravity on ball/speed etc. |

Ok, I made some balls, (1-8 + Cue). They are the first models I've ever made from scratch. :) I didn't include animations firstly because I'm not sure they would turn out, and secondly because to look the best we would need a different rolling animation for each direction, so I would recommend trying to do it with triggers and JASS and stuff. Hope you can use these; I may be able to make more later. I had fun making these and learning how to model, and if you use them in a released map please give credit to Fluff. After you get these files, please post and then I'll take them down. EDIT: All attachments now in one folder. Yay! |

Whao, thanks both of you! I'll check them all out and mix and match the best ones, either way you have both been repped and added to credits. I'll start making the engine for this once i'v decided on the models. Thanks again! EDIT: What are the paths for the textures? |

Every ball has: "Shimmer.blp" "#ball.blp" Where the number is which ball you have. Cue: "Cue_texture.blp" Cue Ball: "Textures\White.blp." and "shimmer.blp" Wouldn't it be better to have all the balls on one texture? |

Im gonna have to say no. Besides consuming a lot more time to accomplish, the result would be much more blurry textures and a significantly larger file size. |

If you wan't diffrent textures for the cue sticks and maybe a 9 ball and a regular rack and even some chalk lol ill make those to. I can do many things like i can make the leather part semi-team colored, along with the tip. also im pretty sure you need the model tweaked alot espicly on the cue since its center is in the back. just PM me what needs adjusted. also you need the tileset as well? As for the pool table in general what you could do is just have the pockets and the wall pieces rather then the entire table. |
