A Nice Temple Model I made awhile back. uses Warcraft 3 textures so all you have to do is upload the model. only 28.5kb so its defintly good for those who wan't to make good looking multiplayer maps without making them huge filesizes.

Very nice! Good use of ingame textures...

theres just something a little odd about the stairs...

It's fairly nice. The thing that's annoying, though, is the repetition of this tile only in this area:

If you could fix that, I'll approve this.

Yes, remove the green spots that TDR showed and then it will be perfect.

What seems odd about the stairs is that they are verry much more detailed then the rest of the model. It would look better if they where done with a texture reather then individually modelled steps. Dont know if such a texture is availible though.

Mister erwtenpeller, that would work nicely on a small model. But this is a really big structure and a texture instead of actual stairs will look ugly.

In that case, i would suggest bigger tiling of the texture on the main building to pull the two together more. Becouse right now, this looks quite bad. It will look off with the tiling/stretching of other doodads and terrain tiles.

Indeed, that would be more fit.

to awnser erwtenpeller question the only way to do what your suggesting is if i did bump mapping and sadly warcraft 3 dosent support that kinda texturing. For the texture im not sure without using a diffrent texture if i can fix that but if anything i can make it so the green dots line up on each back corner. Might make a extra texture to go with it as well im thinking to make it more nubarian look.

i dont think that this is usefull at all, we have got the sunken ruins gaiascape stuff by nasrudin which is gorgeous!
how would bump mapping help with this problem?
you do not need a second texture!

This is just fucking weird.
A while ago I was thinking of making a model like this one, then the day after you uploaded this model on wc3search. And now, I again though of making such a model and AGAIN you submit your model before I get even the chance to start.

nevertheless, its there and i dont see the sense in this model!

especially as it is totally useless how it is now!
try to make the skin tile more often, so one can scale the model afterwards bigger without having sttretched textures...

That's what erwt and me said...

I'm moving this to the M&A forum until you finish it and afterwards I'll approve it, ok?
