Just wanted to tell you guys but when you download something some files contians an extra [1] in their filename when you're to save it. Like it is the original name but when you download it it has the [1] in it, is this an hardcoded problem?

If I'm reading this right, which I could be wrong, sorry...It could be that you "already" have the file (although it could be a different version of the game, it can still have the same name, thus, Warcraft III add a [1] or [2] etc. so that it does not overwrite the previous file with that name). Sorry again if I'm wrong.

That's a 'feature' of IE. I think it's something to do with a 'safety feature' when a file has more than one period (.) in it and it gets confused with where the file extensions starts. Moral of story: don't use IE.

Even if it is a 'feature' of IE.
This is the only site where it happens to me personally. :P

It's not at all site dependant. It's dependant on the name of the file you are downloading. You download maps here, people put version numbers with a period, so it would probably be most prevalent here.

Well, for example at EpicWar.com it doesn't happen.
And that's the offsite location I use to upload my maps since they allow map sizes of greater than 2.5MB and also don't have the silly [1] thing.
And I use IE for both sites.
