I'm sure you are all familiar with what an Innate Ability is. For those of you who do not, the world "Innate" means "existing from birth". Hence, an ability that you get from when you start off... My question is as follows: How do you make it so that a hero (can be placed in W.E.) has an ability to begin with which takes up a skill point, but is not choosable. To reword the question, how can I make it so that a Blood Mage already has Flamestrike as soon as he is in any way placed on the map and the usable skill points are at 0 (without the use of any triggers, such as setting a hero's available skill points.) |

You can't. Without triggers, it cannot be done. No debate. You can get the WE to generate something to do it for pre-placed units by setting the settings of the unit. |

Lol, you again! Hmm... you get plus rep for being so attentive; but back to the point. I recall giving a hero a "unit" ability, and then changing the ability to a hero ability via the Object Editor, and when I loaded it up in Warcraft it gave me the ability as a hero ability without any extra stat points (I had other skills, so i wasn't that) but I am having troubles replicating the situation... |

Just use triggers. Much safer, easier and more effective. |
