Hello there... i am creating a WoW-Fireball ability, which creates a dummy unit, with a ranged attack, using firebolt art, and having a slow poison ability... works... the hero's dummy-spell for this, is based on Storm Bolt, but i cant get rid of the Stunned(Pause) debuff... so allways will there be these "whirlwind" above the targets head... this isnt much of a problem, but it just does not looks good and would cancel the channeling of a target... does anyone know a standard-skill that 1) targets a unit 2) does not wake up the target 3) does not produce a buff on the target (or the buff can be erased from the data) hopes someone can help me with this misery :D thanks |

Channel, unholy frenzy, chain lightning, etc. If you need a projectile, drunken haze, acid bomb, etc. |

Always use Channel EDIT: Griff you bastard!! :/ |

Unless you want a computer player to use the skill intelligently. |

hm... unholy frenzy and channel not working, both cause the target to wake up, even before the dummy-unit throws its fireball... EDIT: besides that its cool :D EDIT again: i reeeally like the channel thing... my dreadlord now ignites its claws when it starts to swing his claw to throw a fireball :D really looks good..... but still, my target wakes up before i start throwing the fireball by dummy-unit... if anyone wonder why i use a dummy-unit: this way its easy for me to add additional effects to the fireball, even copy those WoW-mage talents, like Ignite or Impact... another question: Searing Arrow and Bash does not work together, right??? <<-- aah working, just not really checked so dont answer :D |

To not wake it up, then you may wish to use something like inner fire. Friendly buffs shouldn't wake a unit. |

it wakes them up when using Inner Fire or Lightning Shield, even when the lightning shield does absolutly NOTHING... the other problem is, that the caster of innerfire does not need to aim for the target... so i guess i have to live with the waking up stuff, and use the dummy ability that looks best... actually sucks, that using an ability that does absoluty nothing will make the target attack the caster... |
