Need a purple cloud effect

Actually purple or green would be good. I'm looking to trigger a confusion type of spell, but I want it to be something like the cloud ability with a green or purple color. I can make everything but the effect.

Find a monkey modeller, hmnn purple cloud shouldn't be that difficult, but err, my yobgul's file converter broke...

Correct, I thought maybe I could do it with triggers. A custom model would be fine too though, or hopefully there is already something built in so I wouldn't have to import.
