WT 44 - Holocaust (Large Fire)

11-21-2006, 12:47 AM#1
ghenjis
The fire swept through the charred grass, crackling and roaring over the silent night, drowned only by the screams of townsmen as they struggled against death's grip. Children's lives were abandoned by their fathers for their own as the fire devoured them along with the house they resided in. Spreading outwards, the fire eagerly gobbled up the surrounding trees, boiling over the wooden boards towards the desolate woods. It took a few hours for the fire to die down, and the only thing that was left was nothing. Only a broken windmill remained.

IrkedPlatypus, spiky shrubs among meadow grass look really stupid. Also I can imagine how much that terrain would lag.

Took a bit to get it right, my first few attempts were pretty ugly I had to make 3 sizes of fires and mix them all up to get a good looking effect. Also the terrain being dark helps hehe

That event in history was titled after the word, thus to try to limit confusion, I put the parenthesis. By its first definition, it means a large scale destruction usually by fire.

Very nice atmosphere as always Krewl. Here's mine.

I'll do one myself in a moment.

PS: But i'm going to be different: instead of doing a place on fire, i'm going to do a place after the fire.

Here's my submission. No comments.
It has low efficiency but no import.

Next time, let me use imgshack, because I don't feel like harding my posts once again.
