(12) Spirit TB (Tower Battle)

This is a map project that I have been working on for awhile.

Summary:
The basic idea of that game is to destroy your enemy's Spirit Vault, located on the other side of the map. To complete this task, you are able to choose one of three builders, each capable of building different towers. Each builder has structures styled toward a different style of play, here's a general outline of each:

Spirit Builder - A builder that creates many generic towers, nothing completely out-of-the-ordinary. He is very good at destroying other enemy towers with towers that vary greatly from each other. Some of his towers are for example Cannon Tower - strong AoE attack, Arcane Tower - tower with a bouncing attack, Assassin Tower - very strong, low range tower.

Wizard Builder - This builder creates towers that have a wide range of effects, ranging from direct damage to various debuffs. A majority of the towers this builder constructs have large attack damage that can hit multiple units at once, but at the cost of a long cooldown. Example towers include: Poison Tower - casts Acid Bomb, damaging and lowering the target's armor and nearby units, Tower Dissolver - deals large damage over time to enemy towers at a good range, Burning tower - each attack will deal large AoE damage over time.

Summoner - This builder varies from the other builders because he doesn't focus on towers, but instead on units. He is able to construct towers that summon units, and units themselves, allowing a wide range of strategies to be used. The main disadvantage to this builder is that he cannot build fast, making him vulnerable in situations where allies are not present. Example Structures: Melee Tower - periodicly summons melee units that will automaticly attack the enemy, Artillery - longest ranged unit in the game with good damage, but has a slow move speed and is easily killed when faced by a few units, Barracks - allows the user to train units that they may controll.

Team:
Right now, I am the only person working on the map, but if anyone is interested, I can probably use some extra help.

Progress: (estimated)

Terrain - 50%
The terrain for now, while nothing special, is finished. However, I'm debating on a few things such as remaking it entirely and/or adding multiple playing fields to choose from.

Gameplay - 90 - 95%
Most of the general gameplay is done, as in the object of the game and how you accomplish it. However, I'm open to more ideas as to how the general gameplay could be improved.

Builders - 50%
I'm starting to work on making the towers more interesting at this point in time. Right now, there's nothing you really can't find in another map involving towers. My idea for going about how to change this is to add towers with JASS-enhanced effects, but keeping the eye candy down so things don't become too laggy.

User Friendliness - 80 - 90%
Since maps of this type aren't increadibly common, not everyone knows how to play this map. For now, I have made each tooltip show specific information on what things do in as clear a manner as I thought they needed to be in. However, I need a way for the new users to easily get an idea of what is going on and how to play.

Helpful things you might want to know:
-If your builder dies and doesn't reincarnate, you get another lumber to pick a new builder. I will be putting this information in the map when I update it next.

-Most towers have a minimum range which can help when thinking on what to do when attacking, usually towers with longer range have a larger minimum range.

-While it isn't increadibly clear, there's 3 land passageways to the other side of the map, one in the middle (obvious) and one at the top and bottom of the map. There are 3 different passages into each base, make sure each is guarded.

It is recommended to play with 4 or more players, 3 at the bare minimum.

Is this like "peon wars" ? Dont know if you played the map, in that map players get a peon and you can build towers anywhere and the goal is to kill other teams castle.

Yes, it is similar to Peon Wars and maps like those. At one point in time, I liked playing those maps a lot, but was tired of the balance problem where just massing the weakest tower would always result in victory, so I decided to try and make one myself.
