Ok

Archian and I are going to start making skins for a project pack. I started making a human mage using the demon hunter.

I'm going to fix the hair using a good technique I found on this site. (see avatar)

Perhaps try and remove the *cover* from his eyes and make them visible.
Also the "skin" (human) needs more work, make some more shadows and some more highlights.
And make his muscles more noticable.

Anyway here's a uw preview of a Battlemage skin for the pack.

If somebody wish to contribute with skins to this project, send me a PM and I'll give you more information regarding our intentions.
Or add a reply bellow ;)

The skins shown in this thread will also be a part of the pack.

i gotta say the skin looks a bit "white" ad some tone to it make it, acculy skin, if you look at yours you have small variartion in pigment no matter who you are. Due to sun, and stuff, also what program are you using, that seem to me that its not warcraft 3 viewer

Okee, first things first, there are no 'pros' here, atleast I don't think any of us get paid to do this yet:P

Your skin tone is too much of all the same color. If you look at some real skin you will see how there are pinks, and yellowy white shades, and even greenish blue shades. Try to encorporate more colors into the skin. .

Your hair, although it looks fairly deccent needs work. Your strokes need to be longer and more continuous, not short strokes that go in many different directions. Long hair, although it isn't perfectly straight, pretty much all goes in the same general direction, it flows in a way.

Your skin in general, besides the hair, needs to be sharpened. Use harder brushes to really bring out the contrast, Warcraft stuff really needs a lot of contrast to be noticable ingame. Use colors in your shading to really increase quality in general, like using a purply or more blue tint to the red to darken the red. I'm sorry if you found this offensive in anyway, it wasn't supposed to be.

Cool, although I only have a few suggestions. Like said before about his eyes... try and make them visible. Also about he red cloth "not sure thats what it is" it kind of makes him look a little... weird. Oh and even though this is supposed to be human try to encorporate his ears somehow. Much to my dissappointment the ears look better on then off

I will if you pay me... Haha just kidding, can do. It's always fun to help people out as long as it doesn't require actually making them stuff;)

Words of wisdom is a lot better than doing it. Practice makes perfect

Camel allready said plenty about the execution of this demonhunter skin, i come to you now to discuss your design.

What are you trying to accomplish with it? The whole cloth design looks incredibly random and poorly thought out. How would that cloth even stay in that place like that? it doesnt make any sense at all. The gold decorations are also verry randomly scribbled throughout the thing, make them either a cool design or make them accentuate body shape. The placement of the chest muscles also looks a little strange to me.

Its actually good to see a demonhunter with a blindfold for a change, but make it more interesting, like make it go way more up so it covers his forehead and perhaps part of the hair, even.

As for archian, posting an unwrap means nothing. You can paint a buitifull unwrap, but if you put it on the model and it looks like shit, its useless. Think again.

Ok thanks for your opinion

Things to do now..
  • Remove cloth and remake a new one
  • Remove Gold Decorations and add something else
  • Fix Blindfold

I was with Camel's Hump on msn and he gave me some pointers.

Here is my latest updated skin.
