Day of the Damned III is the third chapter of my zombie shooting map serie. There are 1-4 players, who are shooting zombies with item based weapons, each player has a third person camera, and three modes on it. Apart from Day of the Damned II, this will have lot better terrain, more adventure elements, more trigger events, wider areas and lot better variation of enemies. There will also be some short cutscenes at times, before boss battle ie. The gameplay will be shooting zombies with item based weapons, staying away from melee monsters, evading the missiles of ranged monsters, using special items, solving puzzles. One click is one shot. Some find this annoying, but I like it. Tileset is Dalaran Ruins, with some tiles loaded from Ashenvale and maybe some wintertiles later too. Terrains will be stuff like misty forest, deserted (zombified) village, graveyard, crypt, mansion, dungeon, cellar of witchcraft rituals, etc. All custom stuff is welcome as long as map size will stay under 4Mb. Guns will have their own icons and sounds, perhaps even models. I don't want a single enemy use it's normal wc3 skin, it will eighter have a skin or a total custom model. Custom trees would be nice somewhere too, however, main weight will stay on normal doodads. The team already has a graphical artist, Hate[w]arE. Requirements: The terrainer should be almost as good as I am, and be able to make terrain which fits to the surroundings. The terrain is supposed to be gloomy, or atmospheric at worst. I will terrain half myself, and basicly plan everything, but I will appriciate your ideas too. Knowledge of Day of the Damned II (avaible for download on my site, click on the banner) is a huge plus, as well as somekind of trigger knowledge. Anyone who thinks (s)he's got some talents in terraining, and is interested in this position should reply on this thread or contact me ([email protected]) on MSN Messenger. |

Tell us more about the project. What sets it apart from other maps? What will the game play be like? Et cetera. You may also want to give some info/link to the other zombie shooting maps in the series. |

Here's the direct download link of Day of the Damned II: http://www.freewebs.com/antsumaps/Da...0protected.w3x The map is protected with vexorian's map optimizer, so it's openable, custom stuff and triggers won't be shown though. Day of the Damned III will be much like that, but it will have lot better terrain, more adventure elements, more trigger events, wider areas and lot better variation of enemies. There will also be some short cutscenes at time, before boss battle ie. Custom trees would be nice somewhere too, however, main weight will stay on normal doodads I'm afraid. Oh, one more thing: the style will be quite simple, but not a single doodad will be planted at random. What's important is what something looks in the 3rd person camera, not normal camera. |

Well I already started with normal trees, I'd like to use custom trees only for variation. Anyway, add me ([email protected]) to your MSN, if that didn't break your intrest. EDIT: Found your MSN from your profile. |
