Beams of sunlight slowly filtered into the dark church. The marble walls began to glow a brilliant white. The stained glass grew bright as the rays of sun wavered warily through them. The oak pews seemed to create their own light as the sun grew higher. |

I've never dowloaded a custom model ever before though. I just put it in the Warcrfat III hub folder, but if there's a perticualr folder it must go in tell me, i've never done this before. |

Nope, just import the model in the import manager, save and reload, and set the model to the custom in object manager. |

Thanks Ghen, but i've worked out the custom model thing already just now. MINE IS DONE! HUZZAH! I've taken the screenshots so you can't see things you shouldn't be able to, such as beyond the walls and the tops of the light rays. The last picture is so you can see the layout of the entire place. Just about done, just have to add contents to this monastary. Pic1: One of the two side wings. Both are identical to each other. Pic2: Some of the foilage within the monastary to promote a serene setting. Pic3: The middle hallway. The main corridor. Pic4: The fountain built into the atrium's entrance. Don't know if I like the plants within the crosshatch pattern though. Pic5: The main fountain in the atrium. To add detail later but might keep it as is for a simplicity approach. Pic6: Same fountain closer up. Pic7: A view to the entrance in the atrium. Pic8: Overview of the structure. Any comments are welcome, good or bad. Oft99, your cathedral looks very WC3ish. The use of the WE cliffs as walls is something you should strive to get away from unless you are creating a playable map just for fun. The walls look quite bad normally, but you did quite well with them by adding the wall doodad on top of em. Second of all, remember that you can align doodads with shift+pg-up or shift+pg-dwn. This will help to bring order to the chaos that makes your terrain look haphazard. Unless you want your cathedral to look like its falling apart it is a good idea to aligh doodads as best as possible. Third, the black tile leading to the brilliantly white marble is not achieving the effect i think you want. Try placing the dark red tiles next to the dark black ones in the custon tile options. This will allow the white marble to flow over the red tile, not vise versa like it is now. |
