I made a dummy ability based off of Unholy frenzy in order to make a permanent heal buff. I put in "-15.00" for the damage per second value, but when the ability is cast it drains 15 hp per second instead of having the unit gain 15 health a second. Why is this? I checked the ability to make sure it was using the right buffs and being cast correctly, and it is. Help, please? |

Is "allow negative values" ticked in the WE options menu? Is yes, then just use shift+click to alter the field, this usually overides any restrictions still in force. Do not abuse the power of shift+click however, or you may accidently enter a world of pain.... By which i mean game crashes. |

Yes, "allow negative real values" is checked. I'll try again... |

It is possible that the ability does not support negative values, in that case the solution is to use a different ability or trigger it. |

Just use the Life Regeneration ability (or it might be Life Regeneration Aura or something). That will do exactly what you want. |

Unholy Frenzy used to work with negative values (healing instead) with previous versions of the game (1.18 or something). I know this may sound stupid, but are you sure that you gave the unit the correctly Unholy Frenzy? Sometimes I forget to switch to the correct ability. And actually TaintedReality, life regeneration is a bit more complex than healing. Atleast as I heard on other forums too, it can sometimes be buggy. Take in consideration even the fact that maybe some units do not regenerate during the day (night elves), so I say you first test if life regeneration works for those units all the time. ~Daelin |

I did check to make sure that the unit was actually using Unholy frenzy; in fact, the buff was even being applied correctly (the tooltip was showing up as it should) but the units just weren't getting healed. I changed the heal ability to be based off of Inner Fire, and set the life regen bonus to "20.00". Will this work, or will it be affected by units having different life regen at different times of the day? |

Most likely it will be affected by the time of day, as it affects regen. It isn't actually a heal. |

If the heal effect is the only effect you want, why no use simply rejuvination? |

To create a permanent, undispellable effect, you would have to use with a spell which creates a physical buff. So try acid bomb. |

For your time of day issue, you know you can change it to where all units being used by your map regenerate at all times of the day right? Just open "Object Editor" and the goto "Units" find all units u are using and change their stat properties as needed so they regenerate all the time. |

Use an ability based on parasite with a negative damage per second. Works just as well, and you can remove the summon if the unit dies under the spell's effect in the OE too. |

Thanks Rising_Dusk, I went through the ability list and found it already; Parasite seemed to fit the bill. |
