The title says it all. I want to add an in game sound during a custom animation of mine, how would I go about doing that? 3DsMax 5 Of course. |

Well, I've added sound but with Magos editor. I think it's much easier. As soon as I get home, I'll post the exact way to do it with this program. |

3dsmax5 is easier, I think... but maybe not lol. What I do to add sounds is import an object called SNDxYYYY from the sample scenes(GRUNT.MAX, pandarebrewmaster.max) where x is a random number just to identify the object and YYYY is the code of the sound u want to play(u can find all the codes in arttools manual). So once u import that object(I think its a point helper) u need to add a note track to it, then u set a key in the note track where u want the sound to play(u can insert more that one key), BUT theres a catch: u ONLY can place keys at the begining of an animation, so u if u have an animation wich starts at 200 and ends at 230 ull need to place the key on frame 200 otherwise it wont play. Hope this helps :) BTW u can try creating the point helper by urselft but I think ull need to adjust the user property settings, I guess its all explained in the artools anyway. |

I'll try it, thanks Jig. EDIT: It worked, one thing though. You can place a sound anytime you want during the animation, I even have it play twice in the same one : ) |
