Did this a little while back for my art class and just recently put finnishing touches. I printed it up at kinkos on a posterboard sort of thing and it looks really cool on it Aside from some obvious flaws I think it is good for my first fire attepmpt. I learned that you should make fire on with a black background first. I started with white and it created some complications for me.

It really looks more like red fog than fire.
Also, that humanoid in the middle of the picture is terribly mishapen.
Noone's forearm should ever be that huge.

Consider making the fire feel more "alive."
Fire is a very unpredictable thing, there should be flares and jumps and such in the flame, it shouldn't flow like water or wind.

It is sort of a flame thrower effect so it wouldnt be like normal campfire sort of fire where it is just standing still but I get your point. And as for the anatomical errors... ya I know he is pretty messed up but meh

With art.. it isnt an error.. You could come up with problems with this until you turn blue.. but why bother.. it is a very good piece of art, and i like it :).

The image seems that of a man consumed within an enormous vaginal canal, though not at all erotic. Or perhaps it is more akin to the development of humanity from the conflagrate vitality of a cosmic uterus. Hm.

Well actually the idea was he was consumed by... whatever the viewer wanted it to be. The fire could represent lust, love, power, grief, sadness, etc. He could even be consumed by a giant demonic puppy from hell!

The composition could have been a little more interesting, like less centred, and the colors more vibrant. The whole image is a little on the blurry side. (did you get a high resultion to make it? like a couple of thousand pixels at 300dpi? gives nicer prints)

But it sure is good to see you show your artistical side besides the quality skinning you've been doing.
