Instead of making lots of small terrain thread I've decided to put all the stuff I make here. Obvioulsy, its just starting, it will get much bigger I assure you. Some were made with "the Ultimate terraining map". I'm not going to go into a full credit list seeing as here are so many models in it. The forest is meant to be playable :) |

Image #1: Minor issue, in that the torches could stand for a cover to protect them from rain and dew falling from the leaves above. Images #2 and #3: I addressed an issue previously pretaining to these images. The jutting spires of stone are not aesthetically pleasing, especially the sharper specimens. Nor are they appropriate to a volcanic caldera. Image #4: Very unpleasant to view, though it has some potential and can be greatly improved upon. - There is a complete absence of shallow water which typically surrounds atolls. The images displayed at the link should provide you with some inspiration on how to fix this issue. - The nature of the distant landmass is unclear. Is it the very tip of a peninsula? An island developed from continuing volcanic activity? Or a dormant volcanic island? The barren theme of the landscape causes me to conclude the island is somewhere between the latter two states. But the terrain features lend to the ambiguity. The tops of the natural rises are pointed, while the slopes are smooth, and altogether the mass is unpolished and undetailed -- save for a few tall & ugly trees. Draw attention away from those desolate trunks with appropriate flora. - This may also benefit from the previous link to images of calderas. |

removed the spires. might add somthing on there. but I feel like making other pics before. added one pic, some river in Barren plains. Actually, I had just watched the Halo 3 announcement trailer, and i found trees that resembled those in the video. now all I need is a master chief, a giant forerunner structure and a covenant ship. :P |

First and last are my favorites. I really like how you did the river. |

Updated with two new, not so perfect barren pics. |

I enjoyed the river pic the most, the others were quite good as well. Nice work. |

Image #6: You can see the bottom of the lowest waterfalls extending below the water surface. Tinker with the size until you get it close enough. Will, do you disagree with my previous criticisms? |

Ground in third berrens pic is too flat... Create some river rushes doodats recolored to berren's colors and place it near that spears... Or place more rocks, or any other doodats... |

Rocks of the watefall are cool but you should add more waterfalls. You shouldnt be able to see the ground behind it otherwise it looks kinda weird. |

The middle bottom 2 are so awsome they seriously look like WoW screenshots! The first one looks like the star wars e-walk homes in the trees, hehehe. |

Is that bridge model already in wc3? Or is it custom? |
