I read the tutorial for spell edition and i decided to try soemthing basic like change Blizz's mana cost to 50 instead of 75. I changed it, put AbilityData and The map I wanted the spell change in, in TechMPQ into my tech folder, and then opened it up. I put the Ability data in the first slot, the map name in the second, what do I put in the third. It says put AbillityData.slk there and i did but it didnt change anything:( How do I get my change to work? THX

Try Units\AbilityData.slk. And if that doesnt work, just put Units\. No periods at the end. Ive never used techmpq, since winmpq is much better in my opinion.

Never would of thought of it but it works now. Just one question, Why do I have to put Units\ in front of it?

Because thats the way it was in the mpq. The game reads it, but its name has to be a duplicate of what it was in the mpq. Read my "just saying what i know" post up in the important things up there, since it gives some insight into these kinda things (even though that thing is really old.)

EDIT: nvm, some asshole erased it. That pisses me off, since it was the first implementing guide on these forums, pre-dating kerry's by a few months.
