I have no idea about what you want to do, but please, in the future remember that it's called command and not cammand :P |

I think ragingspeedhorn said it best. Maybe you could trigger it so clicking one to fire shoots a ranged weapon and pressing two times to fire changes to meele attack (morph?). Or use a ability to change modes. |

Well when I made this post i was like crap know one going to understand that but ill try explaining again. Ok I got my marines fighting the undead. All the marines carry guns rifles, pistols, shotguns, ect. becuase all the marines are range units and the undead consist of alot of melee you will have to constitly keep your troops away from the enemy in order to keep them alive(IE fallback tactics and hiding behind crap). But acourse there constant spawns of troops so your going to have to push your way in some how. One Tactic is a new cammand called charge which allows your men to take on the enemey head on with a solid melee blow in a effort to push ahead. Right now I got it so you can select your marines and issue them to charge indavidual units. I used the windwalker spell only you can't go invisable and speed up with it. However i was woundering On your guys input on making it more effect so it blends in like its just a regular cammand. |

I'm still sticking with my first idea. Double-clicking makes the unit run forward for a bit then do a meele blow knocking the enemy back a bit with a stun for a sec. |

@smily132: Eww, that would be wickedly ugly looking. @Xlight: It should just be a triggered ability. As for making it a natural command like Move, I don't know if that would happen since natural commands are shared between specific types of units, so you'd just end up with alot of units with Charge... Just do it the simple, easy way, and just leave it as a triggered ability. You said you had it working already, anyway. |

Here's my decree: Give the marine 2 attacks in the unit editor - a ranged and a melee. Enable only the ranged at first (attack 1) When you click on the Change Stance ability, your marine gains one of the Orb abilities - because they can enabled attack indexes. So this new ability enables attack 2 (melee), which is obviously going to be more powerful, so your marine will use that instead. Then just click Change Stance again to remove that ability and go back to only ranged. ---OR--- Make marine with ranged attack and melee attack, both disabled. Make 2 abilities: (both based off any item orb ability) Ranged Stance and Melee Stance. When marine is first trained, it has Ranged Stance, which enabled attack index 1. When you click that, Ranged Stance is lost and Melee Stance is gained, giving attack index 2 instead. and so vice versa. PS: If this isn't what you were looking for, sorry. Just be a bit more clear in your description next time. |
