Offensive Auras ala D2?

Hi,

Just wanted to know if i played ard with the AM's brilliance aura for example, and set -ve values to it and change it to affect only the enemy, would i get an offensive aura that depletes the mana of surrounding enemy units/heroes?

I believe Aura's are hardcoded to only effect friendly units.

the auras are hardcoded in the code and you can't make them affect the enemy units.

Their not hard codes, and yes you can change the effect targets, range and all that

Right, well it's obvious you have no custom spell editing experience what-so-ever. Take a look at the ability data file, it's VERY obvious where it is, and what it does.

Let's see, under targs (Which means TARGETS), maybe that has something to do with it? *rolls eyes*

And if the targ is an underscore, it doesn't use a target. Man I thought that was easy enough to find. By the way, you change the strings inside of the targs columns to change it.....

Oh my god, if you just look at auras that affect friendly units, copy the strings from there. But since you're not going to look, here:

air,ground,friend,self,viln,invu

Is it just me or did you just tell me what targets to use to help my team.. plus just looked through your map what aura targets OTHER ppl in your map.. cause I sure as hell dont see them off the bat looking at your ability data .slk

Read the thread. He wants to make Bad Auras. Also, mostly that field just tells what targets it can hit. Most of those are hardcoded. Ask blizzard.
