May as make another such thread. Grid Matrix Creates a semi shield around User, (Defensive Matrix model) halfs all damage taken until it expires after X seconds. Force Field Very similiar to barricade, creates a shield blockade that stops all projectiles, friendly or enemy from going through as well as any units. Can not jump through it. Lasts X seconds. This is a useful device if youve just stolen a flag, can place one behind you and run Medi Kit Similiar to the Mdeipack item, instantly heals target friendly unit by 15, self or ally. Id imagine it being fairly cheap, can be helpful towards allies as well towards self, in certain circumstances Rocket Pack Basically an upgraded jump. Can leap to target point, except it has a much higher arc, allowing you for example to jump onto a cliff, which normal jump cannot. |

Hehe, I've just been posting my gadgets in the weapons thread, I'll repost them here. Btw, rocket pack sounds fun! For your grid-matrix, you could make it like immunity to all damage for 1 second (I think taur posted this), that way you can dodge grenades, and annoy people with drop c4 then shoot it and go invul at last minute lol. Binoculars: Reveals a area of the map for a certain amount of time (far sight). It would be much cheaper than using a camera, but a camera would be cheaper than its equivalent time with binoculars (also counting the fact that cameras can't be moved and binoculars can view different areas). Sprint Potion: (Adrenaline Shot? I dunno call it w/e...) Temporarily increses move speed (like speed rune). Grappling hook: Pretty much like meat hook. Can hook ally or enemy (brings them towards you), not sure whether it should deal damage. If it does deal damage, allies should be immune to it. This could be useful if guns like Fulla's shotgun are included, so you can pull people towards you and then kill them. Could also be useful for bringing the enemy flag carrier back as he is about to score lol. Range and speed could be whatever is needed for it to be balanced with a not too expensive gold cost. Flashbang from original elimination: Can't remember if this was going to be brought back or not.. too annoying or? |

Sure being invulnerable while planting C4 would be fun. But don't forget that by adding that, you would also take away all the tactical uses of C4. Now you have to either place it on low ground and run away, or suicide. If such an item existed, it would have one single use... in a combo with invulnerability to kill everything nearby. We've actually been discussing a rocket pack ability (or something similar) to enable climbing to a higher cliff level. Its a nice idea. Since we're trying to limit the amount of items, we want each item to have a unique use. Forcefield and medikit just sound too much like barricade and healthpack :) Same goes with binoculars. Camera is the vision item, binoculars would be too simple to use. Just a click to get full vision? Too easy :) Same again, sprint potion is too alike sprint rune. Grappling hook: Pausing is something I allways try to avoid. Imagine it yourself; your trying to run and suddenly your units gets paused and gets pulled back. It would be really annoying. We've discussed flashbang, not sure if we're re-adding it. |

@Grappling hook, yeah I know it would be annoying if an enemy does it to you, but would be great if ally saves you with it, or you have shotgun and pull someone to you and hit them. To make it not so annoying, range could be small, so only really for pulling people up cliffs and surprising them / saving ally / pulling someone closer for gun like smg or minigun (people are not paused for so long). If you don't like the idea of getting paused when hit, you could make it the caster is pulled to the location of where the hook landed (could get up levels / escape with flag easier). But... for that I suppose a jetpack would be way more fun lols. |

Okay got a cool idea you know how in some action movies they have those criss-crossing lasers? Well I was thinking you could do that with lightning effects you buy a laser creater (yeah name needs a lot of work) and connect it to another within range, any unit that crosses it (without jumping) takes damage. You could also have a map where there are random lasers created, in a certain path, so it's harder to get across. |

Few items that are nothing like the ones in the game w00t!!! Prison Trap Works kind of like a bear trap, except when it activates, instead of clamps flying up, spires of metal trap the enemy. Deals no damage. Lasts until it is broken. (each of the 3 sides has maybe 15 health?) Turret Sets up a turret, which attacks enemies with a less accurate chain gun. Lasts 10-20 seconds, and is EXPENSIVE. Cloaking Grenade when detonated, makes ANYBODY in the field partially invisible. (unselectable, and maybe like 75% transparent) for 5 seconds. Hologram Creates an unmovable mirror image at a target location. Only hint to enemies that is is a hologram is it is slightly transparent. Noobs will be like "0MG 1337 phree K1LL5!!! R0FL!!111" then you go behind then and totally own them. Then you rofl at them. |

Tracking Device Sticks a small tracking device on an enemy, giving you vision around them in 400 area (not their vision). |

A flashbang would be cool, but the effect should be very short, so not as much used for blocking vision of people but more for confusion ^^ |

Power Charger Charge Time: ~7-10 sec You collect much power while you are doing this you're unable to do anything and you take more damage from a hit. Afterwards your next action will be more powerful. E.g. when you use jump, you jump further than normal if you shoot the weapon deals more damage/shoot faster/more projectiles or any other effect Pro -you can make insane actions like instant kill when you do a good shoot or can quickly escape with jump. -more variations of tactics (<<< my oppinion )Con -you are very vincible while charging. |

Radar: Pings the location of all enemies on the map for X seconds (Ie. Pings it for 1 second, then relocates, then pings for another second, so you have an idea of where they are heading to). @Sacreligious, wouldn't you have to get within melee range to stick a tracking device on someone? They'd probably kill you, or force you to kill them lol. Flashbang wouldn't last too long, and the further you are away from the explosion, the less blind you would get (would be more transperant at start and last for less time). Would be funny to flashbang someone and then follow up with reg. grenade (they have no idea lol). Not sure about cost, because shock grenade seems to be way better... if it was too cheap, people could just spam them for perma blind or something... Not sure about flashbang atm lol. |

It could be used for someone running away like someone carrying your flag, or you could sacrifice yourself to stick some on an enemy or two (if one or two are tracked, chances are you will see some of their allies). |

How about make it so you can buy the "barrels of explosives" that are littered around the map? They would work the same as they do now, so wouldn't detonate by themselves like c4. They would have to be cheaper than c4. Could be quite useful, leaving them at top of ramps etc, and theres less chance of you killing yourself with one too lol. |

In the original elimination series there were a permanent item called "Gloves". Using these you could pick up barrels and move them around. It's a nice idea, the could be really cheap since theyre quite weak and hard to use. |

Flag Finder Pings both the team's flags for 10 seconds, then repinging after 15 more seconds. Useful incase someone hides with the flag. Yeah, I know it could be pretty useless, but it gets stresfull trying to find it in certain maps. |
