How can you have more than 5 hero abilities?

I've seen this done in a map before, and I tried to Shift-Enter the field to type in over 5 raw ability names. Only the first 5 showed up in game.

Please help.

My freaking god. Did you even try to search? There's a whole slew of threads in the Triggers and Scripts forum that would've answered your questeion. Try using spellbooks. If you don't understand them, search around.

The answer is no, but there are alternative way to deal with this, hit the magical enchanted SEARCH button

I suppose it might be possible to remove the Attack, Stop, Move, and Patrol icons from the command card, but I don't know how you'd go about doing that.

Note: hero abilities.

I doubt it. You could probably make a system using spellbook or something where you select spells and they are added and upgraded appropriately, if you don't want to use spellbooks, you're probably out of luck.

The method Molten Core map uses is a good one - they use dummy abilities to "group" all the learnable ones.
You can get the map here. Its not protected and the system is in GUI so you should have no trouble with it.

As far as I remember, Vex's spellbook demo map clearly explains how to add hero abilities to spellbooks. Check it out here.

He said that he didn't want spellbooks, unless you're talking about spell-books inside the "hero-button" thing. Yeah, I don't think your link describes that.

spell books are the best, there are many ways to adapt them for hero skills. Instead of copying someone else's I suggest you at least try doing it yourself, thier very interesting.

I've had countless experiences with spellbooks, and I don't like them so much, mainly because of the hotkey thing - I need to be able to use attack, hold position, and various ability hotkeys.

I clearly remember playing a map in which the hero spells area was filled with abilities, so I know that it's possible, but I lost that map and I have no idea how to do it.

Easier way: Made it a unit ability, give it to the hero in the Hero ability section, then change it to a hero ability, endless hero abilities. Unless this was fixed, cause i used this all the time.

You serious about that? Sounds pretty kewl. I recently fixed a bug that crashed my editor each time i opened player options by creating a new map, opening player options in that map, and while player options still open i got back into the other map i was working on and it worked lol.
