Scream "yay" once and overlay it many millions of times?

Repeat for clap, whoop, roar etc.

Uh... I know, it's a difficult one. But if you do it enough times and then lower the pitch a little so it turns into a general roar... Might be a way of doing it.

See, I once tried that for audience applause a while back... My failing was that I didn't overlay enough claps to bring it even close to working.

I'm pretty sure you can extract one from Azeroth Grand Prix. Unless that was just the rock music behind... I think they havea a crowd sound.

I've got a few repeated cheering/clapping/noise sound loops from Garageband that I could post. The problem is that they are .aif files, so I don't know if you could use them.

They can be played in iTunes, if you have that. If you have a quiet room and some spare time, you could play the tracks in iTunes while recording them with something like Audacity, which can then export the files as .ogg's or .mp3's, which you might be able to convert to .wav files.

It really just depends on how determined you are, really.

Silly boy, you can just set something up to record "What U Hear" and bypass the microphone-to-the-speakers trick. No need for a quiet room either. :P

Though if you had a noisy room, you could always just ask everyone to stop and cheer for a mo...

Hmmm. I prefer to use the methods we developed in the dark ages.

Like having the Morman Tabernacle Choir record all of my music.
