I am thinking about making a Sims map. Like the one's in StarCraft except a lot better. I might need some custom skins made for some of the furniture and stuff though. I could use a lot of doodads fo furniture but there's some things I'll want that I won't be able to have a doodad for. If you're interested in skinning please post here. |

It's probably gonna be different from the real game, like I'm not gonna have all the expansion pack features, but it's gonna be the same TYPE of game where you basically just live and make a house and make friends and stuff. I could just stick with the WarCraft setting and not have TV's and stereos and such, and it would be easier because the preexisting doodads would fit in with the era. It's just that I don't know what I'd do for entertainment. Most of the entertainment stuff is modern electronic stuff and all. I guess I could still give them entertainment from books and stuff, but it doesn't give them as many options... Anyway, ThunderTrails, it would be nice if you could help out with suggestions and ideas and maybe if you can go anything else like terrain, triggers, or spell editting? I'm really only good with triggers, but I can make good terrain if I try hard enough. |

This sounds like a sweet MOD Idea. I loved that game and was addicted. If you did this right I could see it very addicting. I wish you luck and you ever have problems, you know where to come. Good Luck DKSlayer |

You should make it in the medieval times tho, and you live in a village, and you can play up to 12 players and each one owns a house in this village, and you can get married and stuff. That'd be cool... |

The medieval setting seems like a good idea, since I would hardly need any new skins and things, and it's a variation from the normal Sims game. The game will probably be between 8 and 10 players though. I still need some skins for villager males and females, for when they change into formal clothes, PJs, take a shower, etc. and also maybe a maid and stuff... and a couple pieces of furniture like beds and stuff. So I really need someone who's interested in skinning? |

its a decent game, but perhaps the most overrated game in history im sure this could be good if done well for entertainment u could have cockfights :infth: and make it so u can walk to other ppls houses... if u could do that in the real sims, i might have played it for more than like 2 days... most of that was being dissapointed that u couldnt drop the toaster in the bathtub :lch: :cuss: (read in a mag that u could) also, u could perhaps have duels/jousts for things to do |

One courier could be "Royal Service" where you start out as footmen, advance to archer, captain, Knight then finally Paladin. |

That definatly would make a good career path :) It isn't gonna be as hard to stay alive in this I bet and you'll be able to go all over the village and meet other people, even NPCs (the whole point of making the map multiplayer is for players to interact :P). And sorry, I guess I don't mean Shower, should just be a bath (I'm using the water trough as a bathtub). I'll have lots of entertainment in public events like jousts and executions and stuff, and there will also be household things like books and castle models (like a miniature barracks they can play with like a dollhouse) and you can also hire a jester to entertain you. |

Here's an idea for you (you may have already though of similar ideas though) - - - Use Dialog boxes (plz tell me everyone knows what I'm talking about :P ) When you select a unit/person/object, a dialog box pops up with choices you can do, just like in the real game!!! If you need help with this, I would help you make the dialog triggers and such. Just PM me say so here. Sounds like a good idea for a map to me. Make sure you use a big map, so there's room for bigger places and more stuff, in case you make newer versions. Later. |

The selection thing was exactly the kinda thing I was thining of. I'm definatly going to need dialogs for interactions between people but I may not need them for simple furniture with just a couple actions, but I'm still keeping it in mind |

You should make it so that you could starve people in a doorless room, take the ladder out of the pool, or burn them in a doorless room....JK |

Of course that'll be possible. I'd have to go out of my way to prevent them from performing suicides cuz it would take more triggers. There are many ways for people to die, and I'm certainly not going to take out suicide :) Of course there are penalties to suicide... You lose your house and all your money... Unless you happen to have some more family member :P |
