The map is attached. This game is entirely unfinished. Also, suggestions are greatly appreciated.

The objective of the game is to get the the very center of the map. The map is configured as a spiral-type maze, the single path leading closer to the center of the map the further you progress. The game is meant to be incredibly high-paced, with peons running at the maximum speed and enemies chasing at almost the same pace. The difficulty involves running away from a huge mob of grunts and ogres, who will be positioned at the start of the run-way, and at each 90º angle (of the squared-spiral). The further you go, the more massive the chasing mob. There will be check-points armed with guard towers which completely obliterate the ensuing wave of enemy orcs every so often. These few checkpoints will be a location for respawn after each intense, high-paced level. There will be three "level zones", each one getting harder. Once you reach the middle, a cinematic will play which shows all your enemies dying at once due to a trembling earthquake. The game ends with the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners on a pedestal.

I'm looking to implement the following soon:

1. A unit which will give the three-second count to start the race (complete with voice overs).
2. Control functions, and camera view.

More information, please. It sounds like an interesting idea, would like to know more about it.

Also, wouldn't BNet and Player connection get in the way of this kind of map? Specifically, lag & delay?

Also, will you add different types of peons to choose from? That would sound interesting, like ones with different skins & different abilities, to add more play variety.

This sounds like one of the maps that should have the triggers to be able to start the map from the beginning again, after everyone wins, so the host doesn't have to RM the map all the time and can avoid losing good players.

Another question, what size is the map? It better not be Tiny or Small.

A neat suggestion would be to add multiple stages/environments, which would add more replay value (this will work especially well with the Auto-RM triggers), and maybe different mobs with different abilities (e.x. slow Shockwave or Impale, a "slow" ability like Slow Poison or Slow, etc.). Some examples of different stages would be like a curvy X-styled map. There should be another stage where all the players are running down the same lane and have the ability to use their skills on each other (like Slow and Ensnare and Stun?) Again, the more complexity = the more to master! It also shouldn't be JUST Grunts and Ogres that chase you, no, that's too boring. Make Gnoll Assassins, Sorceresses, Dryads, etc.

Not everything should have nearly the same movement speed.

Will mobs be able to kill you in one-shot?
Will peons be able to kill mobs with abilities maybe?
