I have been working on this map for quite some time, and put a lot of effort into it, and then one day while saving it, my computer went through some freezing issues. I waited for that to finish off, and then restarted once I was sure that the map had saved. When I tried to open it again it informed me that the main map file could not be loaded, or something like that. What I want to know is, is there a way to still open up this map? (I put a lot of effort into this, I don't want it to go to waste or have to redo it all....) |

Try opening it in an MPQ reader and salvaging what you can. |

Also, if it's the last map you tested with the "test map" function in WE, the map should still be saved in the test folder, it's called WorldEditTestMap or something like that. |

unless you always save before you hit test map. |

or he wants to deprotect a map and just put on a disguise |

I highly doubt it's any kind of deprotection issue Jacek. I've known ruler too long to be putting on any kind of 'n00b unprotection' tricks. Hope you get that fixed Ruler..and if it's Poison..I'm going to kill you! >:P |

, but just in case I'll start saving several versions of poison in case this happens again. The map was my latest project, Space Orks, which had a kewl new shooting and camera system (along with counterstrike sounds ) |

Well one has to release anger more frequently to prevent it coming out in much larger quantities, causing much damage. What I don't like about this site is that too many people have a superiority complex, and to many it's as if GUI triggerers don't exist. Well at least the resources here are quality ![]() |

It's because GUI fails. When you start working with JASS, you'll understand why. |

rulerofiron99: Don't sweat it too much, it's just that allot of more experienced people post here, they are well known with the scripting langauges, but don't let that take away your faith in GUI, GUI might fail in many places, where jass doesn't but that doesn't mean GUI sucks. It's just that some ussers here just act abit to hatefull towards GUI, ignore that, Just keep on using it if you like to. |

I dont hate it, i just dont use it. I tend to dislike it, but I won't go ZOMFG NOOB GUI IS FUCKED UP NOOB!!11!11!!!!!1! Nobody here does, but some might on the net somewhere XD |

faith in gui? gui is utterly pointless. the time it takes to learn jass is dwarfed by the time you will save when making maps, and by your new capabilities. i used to say gui is good for finding functions you dont know, but then i found out that BJ functions where just screened natives. check and mate gui. anyway, about your map. do you have any kind of software on your rig that can revert your hard drive to specific date? i do, and it has saved my life more then once. |

The hand that fed me? What bulls***. This site has done nothing for me but piss me off because of some of the people here who just have this idea that a) gui is gay and b) they are the best mappers ever. And no, I don't have that software to reset my system. |

Seriously dude, calm down. If this site pisses you off, then leave. There are plenty of other Warcraft III sites. |
