Guest | I am relitivly new to the war3campaign site, after browsing around the forums for a bit I seem to of come to the conclusion that I should stop trying to make huge maps by myself ( with new units. spells and a whole lot more.) Ive been trying to make a decent AOS map. AOS maps are one of the most popular maps out there. What I hope to accomplish is with the help of 2-3 people is to make a new AOS map called Aeon of Mastery in it you will start out with an adept hero of the class you choose and after that you must gain master status of your class. In your adept class u will have a chance to get an ultimate ( a weak ultimate ) and 1-2 auras. The custom spell editing comes in so I can shift the spots of the auras ( easy to do ) into the unused spots in the middle row. When you become the master of your class your stats from your adept class will carry over ( same str, agil , int) as you would have at level 10 in adept, its sort of like 20 levels. One of the main areas of help im looking for is in terrain editing ( i can do some of it but im not the best at it), tigger editing ( i have had minor exposure to war3 triggers, im master of star craft trigger ( not as that is of much help :( )), I can do most of the custom spell editing ( i have been doing it for about 2 weeks, all for my Xmas vacation, extremely long, boring and tedious but fun ) ---------------------- My ideas - The base tile set to be probably Lordaron Winter - In latest verion ( if we every get to it :Heh: ) to have 24 different classes 12 for each team and there can only be 1 of each type of class on a team - To have different unit types on each team ( not having similar units with same damage but looking different ) like one team being human and other team orc, balance the units out and to have 5 different paths to take where different types of units go down the path (the closer to the middle the stronger units go down that path. ) - Hopefully by the final realease to have around 100 custom spells 0_o yes thats right 100 - To make it so you can do quests for your team, stuff like the bad guys going to poisen the waters of the enemy fountain of life and then the good guys having to fix it ( something like that ) - To give a person a chance to reselect their hero, like if the dont like their class, the also get another chance to rechoose there class if their hero die without an ankh ( but once a class is taken it is gone forever) - To make it so in your adept class you get experience slightly faster than you would normally in a regular melee map but the level gain rate is similar when you get to your master class ( the same amount of time it would take to get to lvl if it existed ) - To make about 30 new custom items ranging for Tomes +10 to weapons doing + X damage ---------------------- Things to do if we have time and are still sane after finishing a good version - Make it so each class get Initiate, Adept and Master - Add more items/quests - New heros ---------------------- My Request Looking for people with knowledge/understanding of triggers and are able to edit terrain units and spells and can contribute to the project in a helpful way and have a good time making the map Please post a reply or email me at [email protected] Im not always 100% up to date with my email Please say what you can do and how good your abilty level at it And thank you if you read that entire thing that took me 30 mins to write/ rewrite & edit :gsmile: P.S. The project will start off pretty basic and work it way up, first release will hopefully have at least 50% custom spells, complete tearrain, 3 - 4 quest, creep and 10 universal heros with adept/master class P.P.S Please also post sugestions/idea for the map ty |

Guest | That would be great if you would help Xman and also I can touchtype :knife: I just didnt want to make any spelling mistakes, The main thing I need help with is trigger editing, what I want to create is sort of like up to lvl 20 heros ( it cant be technically, warcraft 3 will crash) so I thought I would do adept/master class I saw in my favourite map Forgotten Highland RPG... It was probably one of the first map ever to have custom spells, I do agree with your statement about originality, some suggetions will be greatly appreciated. I dont plan to put cinimatics in, everytime you can skip them people skip them and they just make the map bigger than it already is and adds another level of confusions :bgrun: I have started on the planning for units / terrain. -Bez P.S. Guest | Im not 100% sure, I had it before but when I reinstalled war3 it got deleted, Do to lack of interest I gave up on campagne, The map is about 2 - 3 months old havent seen a trace of it in ages, It didnt do the usual modified spells, There was text triggers... If I see it ill post it |

I can help with pretty much anything that isnt modeling, i can do advanced triggering, and for your problem with going past level 10, you can get the updated map editor which would allow you to edit hero stats, so you could just keep track of kills once the hero is level 10 and edit the agility, strength, and intelligence. |

Guest | im very good at triggers, but im not really good at anything else. as for doing the 20 levels thing, you can just create a new unit after level 10 that starts at level 1. |

I really love AOS and i've thought about making my own map, yet i understood that I diddn't have the time nor the will to make up all those boring loop triggers and since i dont wanna be a copycat i put the project to rest. And then you, my knight in shinng armor comes to a rescue. My AOS map may finally be done (or yours, whatever) So, if you want some help with trigegrs terrain hero ideas and wahtever. this maybe bit off topic but i've always Wanted a RPG map with hero classes from each race including burning Legion,There could be for example be a spell caster from each race(in burning legions case Warlock) and in Undeads Lich or Necromancer,but each have spell diffrences and attributes.I've never seen an rpg with burning legion heroes selectable in one.i once tried making burning legion rpg but story sucked so did map. |
