Angel of teh DEATH

Modeled with the Vertex Modifier and animated with Warshape;
rigged by Guesst with 3ds (?).
Thanks to the mighty RDZ for mdl help.

Tips for unit settings:

- use 0 as flying height.
- the model has two attacks, one for ground and one for flying units. The best attack range is 100 for the ground attack, and at least 150 for the flying strike. Note that if you use flying units in your map, you may want to give them the same flying height.
- Spell slam was timed for abilities such as war stomp and thunderclap.
- Use 1.00 as model size for best results.
- Set the death time to 2.5 seconds.

Please do not modify the model without asking me first, k? Thx.

may I edit the thread title to "Angel of teh DEATH"?

Pretty nice animations you have there. I don't really like the attack 2 anim, but the rest are fine. Cool model too. I approve.

No rep for me helping you?

It's pretty damn good anyway.

Well, I think you're getting there Nas.
The animations are really starting to flow a lot better.
They actually follow through and move the entire body better than your last submitted model.

I have issues with the model itself though.
The breasts need some serious polies added... There is a reason everyone in WC3 hates the Sorceress model.
It has pyramids for breasts, and they look bad.
No, I'm not asking you make them bigger, I'm asking you make them rounder.
Less like freakin' mountains and more like small melons.

Also, I really dislike the way you do feet.
They look like Pyramids too, and also aren't long enough.
She has awful small feet for being so tall.

Seriously though, I don't think more polies in those two places would hurt at all.
That kind of detail is what makes a model "Wow!" people.

Anyways, overall good job.
Oh, and I think the scythe could use to be sexier. :P
As it stands, it's just a pole with a curved blade on it --
So very uncool for an ANGEL! Comon!

Add a oversized sword or something like that and it'll be perfect.

Pretty neat. =)

I have to agree with Rising_Dusk on the scythe, and less so the feet, though. I have an old farm scythe in what was the stables of my house before it stopped being a farm house, and I have to say that that scythe doesn't look very scythey... What sort of concept pictures etc. did you base it from? Or just imagination?

As for scythes...
Generally scythes have a bit more of a complex construction than a pole with a blade, as you don't grip them like an axe or whatever:

They also usually have a different shaped snath(handle bit):

This page has some stuff on sizing of the snath, but I think you've all lost interest by now...

Another thing which I'm not keen on is where the wings connect, It looks kinda flimsy. As wings are generally used for flight, which requires a lot of strength to lift the weight of whatever is flying, they usally involve a lot of muscle, and a strong conection to the body. Check the wings on this sculpture:

Anyway, leaving being picky aside, I think it's pretty cool looking. =)

Nice info you got there, thanks, I'll think about it.

That is a great death animation. It would be really neat to see some sort of silhouette burst out of her body and quickly fade away just before she falls though. Not it's particularly important.

It is nice to see another new set of humanoid animations.

I was thinking about making a few black rays come out of her chest, but I couldn't figure out how to do it.
