Okay i recently came back to wc3 and felt like playing RPG's but everytime i play one, i find that i get idea's to make em a lot better and i like mapmaking although i never finish my maps lol always get stuck somewhere and stop. But this is a longterm project. Q: So i wondered whats editor was used to make RPG's like "The Black Road" and "Master Crafters". Q: I Want to make a better storyline and terrain so its not an endless grind but what Editors should i use Q: Is there anyway to get all tilesets into a map? Q: Whats the deal with memory leaks? how do i avoid or remove them? and yes i have read most of the tutorials and they helped a lot. Going to try to make an RPG with more "eye candy" but all thats keeping me back is i dont have a clue how to make an RPG any tips, hints or constructive criticism is welcome. p.s. anyway to get an "old" unprotected version of like MC or TBR to look at triggers n stuff? monkey see monkey do is my motto (credits will be given ofc) to everyone that helps |

> So i wondered whats editor was used to make RPG's like "The Black Road" and "Master Crafters". The one and only Warcraft World Editor that came with your WC3 installation... > I Want to make a better storyline and terrain so its not an endless grind but what Editors should i use The very same Warcraft World Editor. > Whats the deal with memory leaks? how do i avoid or remove them? tutorial > anyway to get an "old" unprotected version of like MC Molten Core? http://ftp.blizzard.com/pub/war3/map...0Core%20b4.zip No idea what TBR is though. |

> so they dont use like WE Unlimited or umswe? Technically just about everything these editors allow can be done with the normal editor. Their main advantage is removing limits. Know this: if you ever need something from WEU or UMSWE (for example you need to break the doodad limit of 8192) all you need to do is download them and load your map. But if you ever decide you don't need them and want to come back to the normal editor...well reverting is almost impossible, especially if you get used to them. So my advise is that you use the normal editor as much as possible, you can always switch to WEU or UMSWE if you want. As for the unprotected maps...dunno, but your best bet is perhaps to email the authors and ask them if possible. Or, well, you can always learn from some other map, Warchasers for instance. And if want to create something specific you saw in these maps...you can always explain it and ask how. ![]() |

Just use WE No Limits to break the doodad limit and such. |
