Will a MOD move this to the MDL editing forums or which ever one it best fits now that its no longer a request

Since i have a Model with Jainas Cape removed but the bones for the cape are still in place, would creating or using an attachment point for the location the original cape was still animate it? I seen while looking at the Model in War 3 Model Editor, that there are a few Bone Nodes for Jainas Cape. So Im wondering if an Attachment was made for those bones would an attached Cape Animate? And if someone just says "No it wont" please explain why. Since Weapons still animate I dont know why a Cape wouldnt since the Bones are still there to Attach the cape to.

My Old edited post....
Hidden information:
I found some models i think i might be able to use.
(http://krakou57.free.fr/ Its not in english but pictures do speak 1000 words lol)
But info on the Attachment points would be nice since im not sure how and if it the sholder Attachment point would Animate.

My Original post is here
Hidden information:
I have been trying to do this for a while now and cant seem to with out screwing up something else. So...

This is what I am hoping to do..

Romove the Archers Bow, Jainas Staff and the villager I think is good as is for now other then attachments
And for attachments I am wanting...
  • Upper arms
  • Chest
  • Back
  • Left/Right hands

For Attachments im not sure if the attachments the models have are in the correct locations.

My Goal is to have a base unit with the attachments for attaching Custom Armor models and also weapons. The weapons are not difficult but the armor types im not sure of. I would assume since the weapons will animate a model can be changed to have objects on the sholder to be animated. If not a quick change to the sholder texture and some for thought in armor design and i can get around that.

thx
