umm...why on earth did you start from the leg?
If you're not using blueprints you always have to block in the main proportions first, else you'll end up with something very unnatural even fro the wildest of imaginations.
Post a wire shot so I can look at the topology.
Talons never start directly from the bone like that. They are separate things from the bone, situated on top of the bone. Doing them like this is unjustified. The way I said is justified by mother nature.

I think your leg lacks muscle definition, tendons and scales, also you need to show that he has bones in his legs and feet.

He may define things, but he must have a justification for them.
falco, this is like a block-in stage (well it should be anyway), more definition is to be added later. Though, as I said, this is a bad start.
