Every time I assign my models to a unit in the Object Editor I get an error message and my WE crashes. This problem is really starting to tick me off. Here's the latest model, can anybody tell me how to fix it?

Your first stop should be this thread.

The program seems to have alot of bugs in it....are you sure it's worth using?

In a case where you're getting unexplained crashes, yes.

And only by your usage of it and by finding those bugs can Guesst fix them.

Ok I used gueest's converter and got this message: (Line 437): Unselectable, Expected: Normals\vertices\t <number of whatevers>}

What does that mean and how do I fix it? I know next to nothing about directly altering mdl files.

[edit]: Ok, I messed around with it and removed the line: 'Unselectable,' from several different parts of the mdl (the converter kept pointing them all out). It works in game now, but will those unselectable things being gone be a problem later?

Probably not.

The MDL is full of things that are, as far as we know, obsolete, or that have such subtle effects that we never notice them.

Ok, now I have a new problem. It goes into the game fine, but the attachment points are messed up. How can I fix them?

Here's the new model:

Convert to MDL.

Remove all "AttachmentID" lines.

Convert to MDX.
