I know that recolours isen't w3 players favorite choice & you could make this icons in lesser time than me.. Just say if im in the right direction or if this is so bad that even blizzard laugh when they see it..

& i know this isen't art.. anyways..

Well, I suppose someone might find some use for those, but you still need to submit them as a pack of separate icons with disabled versions included (and perhaps passive ones) if you wanna get anywhere with them.

But, like you said, recolors are rarely used.

I got the complete pack with Dis & Pas for all of them.. but since i haven't made 75% of the icon it wont be allowed to be uploaded right?

They're not just recolors, they are simple recolors. Moved out of the gallery.

Hey I always thought that recolors require taste so as an individual I give a lot of credit for the actual idea specially in the creative world art is. And I like some of the ideas here, I specifically like the 3 cloaks, purple death coil is not that bad either and the staves and spells remind me of some wow icons that are also recolors of wc3 icons...

Well fine, i'll leave it. But i still dont think this is a verry flattering piece to our galleries.

A question:

What was the original icon used for the one on the far bottom right?

Wulf, that part of the skin for Inner Fire model. Now that you mentioned it, if you have photoshop, add some kind of glow effect and maybe even color the shape. It would look much better.

The spellbook is also taken from paladin skin. It looks plain. You should consider adding some depth (maybe a screenshot of the model and cropping).

Red potion kinda exists. Atleast the long one. Wind Walking is horrible. The red recolor simply doesn't go with anything else the model has. For vampiric aura I just don't get why yellow and purple blood? I could go on with so many other icons but it's useless. So I'll just point the good ones.

The purple death coil is a nice idea. The colors chosen are really good. For web if you would've made it an acid green (rather than teal) it could be used for some kind of poisoned web. If you choose the colors, try atleast to make the result useful. Poisoned arrow is nice. The purple cloak as well (cloak of dalaran? :) ). The blood dispel would go well with the blood elves. Same for blood brilliance aura (though I've seen it before... I mean, the idea). Corrosive breath is also good as it looks like blood. Poisoned chain lightning too.

The Advanced Unholy Armor is brilliant in my opinion. Your best recolor here. The red eyes are just perfect and the color of the skull and aura are well placed too.

So I say you don't give up, but when trying to make a recolor, don't just throw some colors and it's done. Think them carefully, plan them in such a manner that the result icon is different (not just a super obvious recolor) and useable. A recolor can look good but as long as it isn't really useful then I don't see its purpose.

Now, I don't encourage you to continue with recolors. Scratch icons are actual art! But through recoloring you can obtain good results too. :)

That corrosive breath that's been recolored to look like blood is actually pretty good. The rest are all a bit meh and i've seen several of them before.

Darkwulfv: as said, i just ripped it with warcraft3viewer (sorry cant remember the path).

Daelin: Thanks for your time! and i actually have a Red,Blue or Green of each icon.. i though about make a glow like The Advanced Unholy Armor in the background of some of them.. the big question is.. should i upload it?
