life on the farm

This is a map based on living on a farm trying to survive

What is the Story?
you have left your village to become a rich farmer after wandering in the forest for 2 days you meat an old farmer named jack he’s offering to give you his old rundown farm and sell you seeds livestock and farm equipment if you do him a favour in the future you take him up on his offer and your adventure begins.

Gameplay
You have to farm to make money to buy upgrades and live a good life as a farmer
but have to eat to survive you can eat your own produce or buy food from jack.
You will also encounter bandits trying to steal your items and destroy your crops and animals stop them at all costs.

What type of livestock is there?
There are 4 types of livestock cows sheep pigs and chickens but I’m going try and add more.

Is there anything else to do besides farming?
Yes, there’s fishing training your dog quests and taming a horse to ride.

Will I be able to hire people to work on my farm?
Yes you can hire people for different jobs

What about events?
There are contests for the best fish cows sheep and pigs and over events such as new people joining the town and leaving.

What about a partner?
The partner will be a pet you can pick at the beginning of the game.

Make sure the map has some pace to it, dont make it too slow and tedious.

The name has changed to medieval farmer now but the game is going great. I got lots of systems working you can go inside your barn and keep your animals in on rainy days or storms. The house looks great swell you can go upstairs to the bedroom were you sleep. You can pick a pet in the beginning which will help in different ways or you can choose not to have a pet its up to you. You can raise people friendship level by giving them stuff they like. Im trying to make a sheep system at the moment.The game at the moment is sorta playable so even if i dont finish it i will upload what i got.

At the moment i got two Mario mini games Mario maze and Mario fight. what sort of mini games would you like to see in this map? you have to buy it from the shop then put the game in the game cube to play it.

The project is going great you can now put stuff up for sell to random npcs who visit the town.
If you leave your cows in the pasture over night they will become milkable. trying to get a demo up for download.The demo is almost finished there is a town but it wont be in the full version of the game.

Sounds awesome. What kinda stuff do you start the game off with? Maybe you sould start the game with like 2 sheep and once you've made money off them you by more stuff.

I like the idea alot, havent seen something like this myself. Reminds me of harvest moon actually.

still making it im working on the upgrades you can buy for your farm like a milking room or more land. You might start out with 1 sheep I don’t know yet.
still going great thou i have made a harvest moon map if you played it. this just goes on the same line as that but better and more stuff to do. Ive made the landscapes from scratch used some of the triggers from my old map.not using the harvest moon music lol. and if you don’t feed your animals then they will get sick and die.
if you walk in your barn it will go transparent it looks good so far. im still updating harvest moon map if you want to try it.

i'd like to see screens.... will houses be walkable? will they be 1:1 to people?

The game is only one player at the moment might add 2 player but not shore.
