I didnt know where to post these ideas, so I made a thread. Rematch Elimination Tournament really should have a rematch function. I find myself playing awesome games against other good players, then hosting again and never seeing them come back. Rebalance If one team is down by 2 players, say 4v2, it will preform some calculations to balance: Each player will get a point value by (Total Kills-Total Deaths) and then each teams will be added up. Lets say the 4 man team had a score of 10, and the 2 man team had 3. It would take whoever had the score closest to (10-3)=7, and add them to the other team. If its a tie, it will randomly pick one of the tied players. |

Ok, I will now explain these once and for all. No they will not be included. Quote:
Not having a rematch means the map will be spread easier. Quote:
Most of the time you are also playing with people you know. Rebalancing could seperate the one you are playing with, making the game less fun. These are just a few reasons not to include it. |

If I made the map I also would not include rematch feature, as Id want ppl to keep rehosting it, to increase the popularity. |

Ya, I think the only change needed is to make dying much more penalizing. |

Id prefably have a bigger reward for not dieing. Like say e.g. something like these: Each kill gives you - Experience, you can slowly slowly levelup gaining minor abilities, when you respawn your level 1 again. - Lumber (other resource) can be used for something, if you die reduced to 0. But id defintly have it so host can/must turn something like this ON at start if he wishes. |

Well. I have an idea though I'm not sure how this would fit in. Left Dodge: Causes the person to slide slightly over and angle inwards. The unit does NOT become invuln. because I personally think invulnerability should not be used in a game that needs quick thinking such as Elimination Tournament. The catch of this is you can still be hit if the person who fired at you was smart enough to aim slightly off. This would also put more pressure on people to use a wider variety of artillery (such as laser etc--) for the wider range of the projectile. Right Dodge: Somewhat the same as Left Dodge. Only unit slides slightly right and inwards. |

Exactly. And encouraging staying alive is the same as encouraging camping. And really, killing people is fun. If everyone's scared of dying, less people with die. Less killing, less fun. |

And more teamkilling to steal money, or more annoying teamkilling because there is no moneytransfer... |

Thats exactly why I said have it as an option. Some ppl love the snowball effect, others hate it. I very much dought it will cause camping, instead I think it will encourage greed and desire to get more and more kills. Just like on Dota, getting Killing Sprees, Godlike etc. Even if you (Infrane/Gadden) are strongly against it, perhaps you should consider it or optional things like this that the host can vote for at start to increase the variety of the gameplay to cater for more bnet users. ==== E.g. at start a dialogue Experience Gain - Off (Default) - On |

If we're strongly against it we're just not adding it. period. And its way easier to get a kill camping then going out there. In dota this is way different, cus you cant get kills when camping. It's a tough one, either you encourage camping, or you encourage TKing.. |

How does it encourage TK'ing? i dont follow. Well make the map how you feel is best, but id just recommend adding options for ppl who dont share your view on the 'perfect' gameplay. |

I find playing your friends more fun, it makes more of a challenge; but thats just my opinion. |

Same idea, you're playing your friend, then he suddenly is on your team. |
