Firelord conversions!

I thought of turning an arachnathid into a firelord-style scorpion., so here it is, in WIP form.

I might release a pack of skins like these.

Looks like a good start, but you'll need to add more detail.

The aracthanid is sexy.

The firelord would be sexy if he had proper legs and slightly better armour.

Keep going in this direction.

Neat idea, make the hairy pars that dangle off into oozing drippy lava or something.

Nice start, but you're gonna need to use more intense tones if you want a truly flaming feel. And too bad it's just a skin edit, it'd look sweet with some subtle particle flames. What attachment points does that model have anyway?

and yes I know its cheap to make a lava tail like that... but too much armor makes it less lava-ish.

Nice skin, but it'd be cooler if those hairs were firey and not... not there, like Chriz. suggested.

Cool idea. I think the yellow parts of the armor needs some contrast, and don´t worry about the tail, it looks better that way

The Scorpid is always an interesting unit to skin

Fire needs a little more contrast, becouse the scorpie doesnt have any emitters, you have to compensate for that by making the highlights (crackles) stand out a little more.

I'll post an update in a few hours, the skin is ALMOST complete. I only need to remove the hair in the portrait, and add some lava to certain parts.

EDIT: I'm thinking of skinning the lich next.

You´ll have to do something with the particles if you´re sticking with the firelord theme...

This guy would probably look a lot better with some particles here and there. But, you can always slap those on with an ability. Anyway, you need to up the highlights and apply some texture to his armor. It looks really smooth and flat as it is.
