VLC Mediaplayer and Vex Opt

I got around a issue, when listening music (on VLC mediaplayer, folder option used) and doing parallely the optimization of a map. The map gets optimized but it does not get fully z.lib (de- ? ) compressed (stops after about 99%, when the data gets "closed"). This makes the created map unusable.

The solution is as simple: Close VLC media player and everything is k.

I hope this helps some members here...

This is probably true for other tools that use SFMPQ

No wonder my one map wouldn't save, thanks for the info.

VLC uses SFMPQ?

No, but mpeg requires zlib and VLC might be using it the wrong way or it is an expectable thing. It is pretty odd I think that we should ask either shadowflare or the VLC creators about this

That sounds rather odd and somewhat unnecessary to me... sounds like it'd be a valid thing to bring up with the VLC guys.
