((This is my other story that I write on when I have writing blocks for other stories. Although the prologue is short, it is meant to give the minority of the story, and the chapters will be much larger. Enjoy!))

Destiny Versus Free Will
A Story by Ba1100n_Drag0n

Prologue

Gray clouds engulfed the once-blue sky. Added on with factories spewing black smoke, everything was dim. Even though it was daytime, sunlight didn't penetrate through the skies. It was a dark, urban world. From a bird, many manmade structures could be seen: skyscrapers, unholy factories, and many broke, cheap brick appartments. It was a dimly colored world, usually dark colors such as gray, black, brown, and rarely dark beryl. Horns were honking from cars with old engines, and buses were usually surpassing the speed limit. Yet nobody seemed to care.

The air was thick to breathe, since everyone else was taking up the air, too. Everyone who wasn't in a car was busy; walking, usually, to a destination. They wore tight, stiff suits of gray or black. They wore black, shiny shoes that tapped against the metal earth; though, it wasn't through a musical sense. It was more like a bad pair of tap shoes that was being used by people who didn't know how to tap dance. They wore ties pretaining to many different patterns, but none were of rainbow-colored dreams. They wore sunglasses, however, not to shield their eyes from the sun (if there was any sun). No; it was to mask themselves from the world, and conceal their emotions and thoughts.

It seemed like they were following destiny. They didn't seem to give thought of one another, and seemed to ignore each other's existance. One would think they were drones with no free will. One would think they were disciplined slaves of a modern society. One would think that they were robots designed to serve one primary purpose. One would think.
