Animating in 3DS Max 7?

I have no clue how to animate in max 7. Can anyone tell me how to do it?

This is the model I'm going to animate.

it's like animating in any other versions of max.

And you can't just show someone how to do this, animating is a lifestyle. There are lots of principles and concepts to be followed and it's not easy. Search for introductions to animation on the internet. Doesn't matter for what software, what matters are the principles.

mmk animation is not that difficult depending on what you wan't to animate. for instance if your animating a human yea you wan't follow some rules on how humans move. but for random fantasy creatures they can do whatever they wan't.

Animation principles apply to whatever you animate, it's the rules of the physical world, not rules for specific things.
And of course animation can be easy, I mean everyone can animate a moving box, but to actually animate well it's insanely hard.

Most blizzard models animations are exagerated espicly the walks. So for this particular model he really dosen't have to follow any rules as long as he can explain the logical course on why the creature moves or does whatever.

you still don't understand. Even blizzard model use basic animation principles like anticipation and drag. They're not like rules, they are some sort of general truths. Those apply universally, no matter if you want an exaggerated animation or not. It makes an animation look better and natural. If you don't use them you just make a bad looking animation, so if you don't want quality animate however you want.

TDR is right.
The "truths" he refers to are the laws of physics.
You can't just disregard them because you feel like it.
They apply no matter what you animate.

Use RightField's tutorial in the tutorial section. It taught me everything I needed to know to teach myself further.

Though I'm not sure how similar it would be for Max 7, but it's worth a shot.

naa dude when you create fantasy you can do whatever you wan't for example this creature of his might be made of something that makes him immune to the LAW of gravity. Like I said along as you give a logical explanation then you can do anything.

You simply still dont get it.

Yes, you can make it do "anything".
The question is, will "anything" look good?

If you animate something in a zero-gravity envoiroment, the truths still apply.
