"Build Tiny..." causes unit to explode.

While attempting to use a "Build Tiny" ability to place a building (that was changed from a unit to a building with root to suit my needs) I discovered that the unit, rather than building, simply exploded messily.

The footman, which I originally based it on, built just fine. Likewise the ancient protector, which the unit is now similar to, also built just fine.

After poking at it and scratching my head for a while I finally realized my problem. Evidently building requires a minimum amount of HP (5, in case you're wondering), and my pseudofootman only had 1. When it attempted to build, apparently not having sufficient hitpoints to do a gradual build the way it wanted to, it simply hit zero and exploded (as far as I can tell).

So, this is really more of a heads up than anything. Originally it was to be a question, but I solved my own problem. Here's hoping those who have a similar problem in the future find this thread useful.

Makes sense.

Human-style buildings start at a set % of HP and "repair" up to completion. As hitpoints are treated as reals (even though we don't see it) your building had a fraction of 1hp when started. As far as Wc3 is concerned HP less than 0.5 rounds down to zero = dead, hence the death of your attempted unit-building-thing.

True that, don't even know why i referred to human exclusively: Build Tiny Farm (et al) clearly summons them!

Eh, was never my real point anyway, so no harm done.
