I am making a map that pretty big and i need feedbacks on one of the city. It is a elven place that is enclosed unless it wants to open the path to the city. Only accesible by air before then and could be by boat. Also i broke a hole in the WE terrain to make the waterfall with terrain and not doodads in on of the pictures. You probably know how to do that or maybe not, but at least it looks nice. Another picture is showing a place for summoning that's surronded by rocks where heroes can be revived with a tough requirement. The 2 wastelandishis showing a base that belongs to an evil player. Hope they look good at least.... -EDIT 1/29- Added in sky for the dead land. Used felwood sky. -EDIT- Fixed undead mountain terrain to more undead land-ish |

Almost no one ever answers on topics. But well, I don't like it when people use Cliffs. :P It looks bad. And the 3 last pictures got Giant Mega-Size Rock spam. Looks bad too. Otherwise just keep on improving. There's alot of work but you're on your way. |

Well the "Giant Mega-Size Rock spam is suppose to be rocky mountains that I dont know how to use terrain tools to make it look like that. And the cliffs, I need it to make a more realistic waterfall as shown in picture 2 cause well like I said, I make a hole in the terrain or somethin with the cliffs + deep water + raise/lower tools. I might use some doodad that fits in there to cover it up. |

Do not terrain at the edge of the map. Dont know really what tips to give you... Try.. looking at terrain of different other people. Go trough weekly terrain threads. It'll help for sure. |

Mmm... It's bad. Accommodation of scenery, selection of colors, technics of shooting of screenshots... 2/5 ((( At all I do not know that to you to advise - all poorly in "root" |

I would probably rate it 1/5 instead and well, main reason i put the thread title is that I do need feedbacks as of how is it bad and where could I fix it. |

Hmm... Hi. No one knows me. Looks plain, yet overcrowded and a bit messy. The cliffs look really stretched and, you know, flat. I'm also not seeing much terrain variation, as much of what I see is plain and grassy dirt. Try putting rock texture on the cliff-sides, and using some rough dirt in places. Also, in screenshot #2, you raised the cliff edge (and we all know that doesn't look too pretty). The edges of your water look... Unsatisfying. It's probably just the cliff though. I'm perfectly fine with that waterfall, just don't let it get messy when you edit it. Also, in the bottom-left corner of screen #1... What is that? Looks very unnatural. Your walls seem to be floating as well... Fix that. Not sure what to say about the pier in screen #3. It doesn't look like it fits. Try using that hidden wooden bridge model.. Whatever it is (Archian has it posted somewhere). For your undead mountain, might I suggest even a little bit of decorative effects? A Locust disguised as a Spirit Tower projectile, even? Banshee possession missile art? Something... Darkly shaded skull piles? Flies? Corpses? Blight-induced trees? Northrend trees? Bats? And use rough dirt in places around the blighty hill, so it doesn't look so uniform. |

The waterfall i might take out and the thing at the bottom left of screen #1 is shadows which i edited already, i'll post the screenshot soon. The pier is simple and works somewhat so im leaving it unless more people wants it replaced. The undead mountain i added trees to hide some cliffs, dont know if it works though. Didnt add that screecnshot to first post, i want to see if it's usable first. |
