Hello, this is my first map I will be posting here. It is called Kobold Tag! The current version I have posted here is 1.09e; though I do have 1.09f out there is little difference. This is a Tag which means the Kobolds (Runners) have to survive a set time (30 minutes) against the Taggers (Lizards). If Tagged (Killed) the Kobolds become Frozen Kobolds in the center of the map and must be killed by a non-frozen Kobold Candlemaster (Main Runner Character) in order to be revived to run again in this Underground cavern full of up to three Hungry Lizards! The Map The idea is Kobolds living underground and surviving against hungry Predators, but all the Kobolds think is that they are after their precious candles! The map consists of several land types to make this seem like a combanation of Tree Tag and Sheep Tag. All Kobold Candlemasters have the ability to take down a giant mushroom (the trees) in a single hit to hide in the 2 Mushroom Forests located at the top and lower right of the map. To the lower left is a Maze, a Lake to the bottom where only Aquatic Dens may be built, and Hills are on the right. The Units - Lizards Another great difference in this game is that the Lizards get a choice of the Flame Salamander, Frost Iguana, Lightning Lizard, and Ground Chameleon to devour their little running morsels! Each has unique spells which even out the game since it is a big map (125x125) and fairly easy for the Kobolds to hide. As Kobolds can hide in trees so can the Lizards destroy them as all have 1 spell that can destroy trees (Flame Salamander doesn't as I could get his too so he attacks slower and can attack trees), 1 to destroy buildings in a AoE (There are invisable buildings that can't be seen without items), 1 to hit the Kobold Candlemaster directly (slow, stun, hold), and 1 to just destroy! There are 15 levels to obtain ultimate power and items to give a boost. Note: That in this game Kobolds must survive the 30 minutes to win so Lizards revive on death after a time equal to their levelx10seconds. Also, Gold is gotten every 10 seconds for both teams, but Lizards get 10+(5xtheir level). The Units - Kobolds Run You Little Candle Lovers, Run!! There is nothing worse than being put on ice to be devoured later and the Candlemasters make a most delicious meal. But they also have the power of fire and kobolds to back them up! For walls the ingenuitive Kobold Candlemaster lays a Candle! This little firestarter can then be upgraded to a stronger Wax Candle and then further into the Oil Candle; it can also become the invisable Dark Candle. Further, there is the Fire Pit that upgrades 2x for food and a Lanturn that upgrades 1x for auras (Note: Auras are supposed to effect buildings but I didn't change that yet, so they work on units.) each of the above give the ability to train stronger units at the Kobold Den. Money is gotten with Money Dens, Defence through Furnaces and Braziers, and while in the lake the best defence is the Aquatic Den which is the only building able to build in water and has amazingly high health for being so cheap in cost; of course, it can only be built in water. Finally is the Pig Farm were pigs are made for cheap and each increases your food (max 200) and are fodder for the lizards to get distracted on. Note: Lizards get really strong at high levels as their skills are amazing at level 3 so feeding them is not suggested; however with large numbers of strong units it isn't hard to kill the Lizards and kill them again when they respawn; just watch out for AoE spells. Also, as Frozen Candlemasters you are able to attack Lizards with 101-101 chaos damage- this is my way of anti-camping. The Caves This is the most original idea in the game and the reason I made it, so I probably should have mentioned it at the top; oh well... There are 12 caves in the map: 4 in the center and 8 on the outer walls. Any player can enter a cave with a unit to be sent to any other cave on the map randomly. As I have tested this on my own, one who continuously enters right after exiting is called Cave Jumping. Also, a Kobold could train alot of weak units and send them all into a cave to go everywhere and essentially stop the Lizards from using them, this is Cave Flooding or Flooding the Caves. A easy escape but to jump right where a Lizard is isn't fun... The Items/Stores These are right near the center; a Mana Fountain and a Shop. The Shop is only for Lizards to buy anything from Invisable Potions, to Attack Claws, to a Blink Dagger. Also, Health can only be restored with time or the Health Potion. The Future As I already said, I have tested this already alot and found many problems and heard many suggestions. All these things I have taken into consideration and decided to make them all at once in version 1.1 (which is why the current version is 1.09F [E here]). Some things to look forward to that there is no need to voice are: -Kobold Type Choices- 8 Types with unique abilities and buildings (well ones only they are allowed to build) -Lizards=Predators- Will be adding 2 more races with 4 species each -Money Burrow Upgrades- Will start at 3 gold and upgraded to 8 -Shop/Items- More and far from the center (issue with camping currently) -Plenty of new buildings and some new units -Custom Minimap and Loading Screen and possibly more buttons in the further future. -Best of all a bigger map! (160x160) with new landscapes and more trees and the reason 1 more Lizard will be added so it is 8 on 4. All comments and Ideas are welcome and I will get 1.09f up when I get home from work; Peace! EDIT: Well I just looked at some other testing maps and realised I may have wrote too much... If this is so I will dumb it down to points; just tell me. |

Havent tested it but looks like a lot of fun. Does it have a timer like sheep tag? Because I always thought it was too easy that way, I think you should have to kill the lizards. Makes it more challenging, and less limited. |

Have you played Huhters&Farmes? Farmers are runners, but they must build a base, train army and then kill Huhters to win. It is very funny and challenging system. Some tims: - make the map look more natural - trees should be distribued regularly on the map in smaller forests - after walking through cave you should pan the camera and select the victim. It is the difference between life and death! The idea with candles, braziers etc. is very nice, I like it. I just think you should make some cheaper way to increase income, that building for 50 is too expensive. |

Pretty good map, at the start of the game make a voting time to choose between 2 modes: timer or kill lizards |
