I don't think you need to make it that smooth.

If you plan to use it for wc3, it has way too many polygons allready.

If you dont, it looks quite decent. Finish it, make a couple of nuice renders, and get some good wire shots. Right now i cant really tell that much.

I really dont have a clue how milkshape works, never worked with it.

You should download the 3dsm wc3 art tools. Not to use in milkshape, but it has some handy guides and tips how to model appropriately for wc3.

For a hero model, wich usually have the highest count, dont go over 1000. Normal units are usually between 600 and 800.

His side view looks like a rectangle. You should figure out a way to solve that, no one should be that boxy.

You can't render in milkshape. In milkshape you need to vertex model, that is lay out some vertices than use the face tool to create the faces.

Ok, it is a little (not too much) overdetailed for wc3, that's true. But for a first model is very, VERY nice. The proportions are good, and the face looks really like a face! I know a few people who aren't still able to model a head even after months and months of modding...

thanks Nasrudin! and yes tdr i argree it looks like a rectangle lol just noticed. Will it fix the rectangleness when i add the sword, and the dragon head on his shoulder? Erwtenpeller what happens if i make it over 1000 polies will it crash the game or something?

Nah. With modern computers, it shouldnt be a problem at all really. It just looks really out of place, and if you have too many of them i think it may couse lag becouse the engine isnt meant to handle bigger poly counts.

I doubt it'd be drastic, but yes, if the model looks too smooth ingame then it won,t really fit.

I could NEVER model a head like that. I absolutly suck at modeling humans.
thats why I'm doing a robot.

It took me a really really really long time to model that head lol. erwtenpeller its ok that its kinda high poly because he is my hero and there will only be one of him. By the way i just finished the beard hows it look?
