Good vs. Evil

Description:
Quote:
Two sides: Good & Evil, fighting an epic battle, similar to an aos (aeon of strife) type of map, only it's a lot more customizable (play it your way).

Good:
Quote:
They're here to prevent the Evil side from conquering their world, thus they must destroy that which brought their enemies to them, the Dark Portal.

Evil:
Quote:
Through the Dark Portal, they come to conquer this world, only they have unexpected visitors waiting on the other side.

Setting:
Quote:
Half the map belongs to the Good side, and the other half to the Evil side. Therefore, the Good side prospers good (green grass, birds, trees...) on its land where the Evil side prospers evil (cracked landscape, lava, bats...) on its land.

Both sides have 9 towers each and a last defence, a "defending hero".

Features:
Quote:
Units and Heroes start out with no abilities.
Customize your units by giving them abilities.
Customize your hero by giving it abilities.

Balance:
Quote:
Both sides have exactly the same type of units (same stats only different models). The only thing that will change the tide of battle is the way that the players play the game for they all start out with exactly the same units.

Things like, what abilities you get and at what time, will greatly influence the battle.

All abilities are a straight copy from the melee game with no modifications done. Except for a few that would otherwise ruin the game.

It seems like there's another map carrying the same name, but I assure you, this one is quite different.

On a side note, i strongly recommend watching the tutorial if you're new, or reading the Quest (F9) info. This game is simple but you must understand how it works if you're to fully enjoy it.

The terrain needs work. It looks promising though.

did you people actually try the map?
I'm starting to see why some people don't post screenshots.

I tried the map demon and I must say the idea to boost your units with spells is pretty nice.
Everything else seems just a bit erhm... simple.

I think this map is lacking somethin special that you haven't seen yet on all the other AoS clones around...

As I sad before, the theme is unoriginal, no custom abilities etc. pp.
I liked the Cinematic Sequence at the beginning but you need more eye-candy and special stuff in it , to attracked ppl...

Just my two cents.

When i skipped the intro (it was too log for me) i chose Range - Agility. I quickly ran to the ability shop to buy some abilities, but they were too expensive for me. "Hm...lets make some gold". But after a few shots into nearest creep realized, that my lasthitting skills from DotA are not worth anything in this map. Why? Attacks of creeps were roughly as strong as mine and at top they were pretty quick. After 3 waves still without gold I gave up :(

You shoud make fights a lot less boring (increase heroes' attack), towers shoud be a bit more dangerous, but they should be mortal - 5000HP is nice, but for guy with damage 17-23 is it quite too much. By contrast their attack is pretty weak. Only thanks to the guarding hero you cannot grab the tanking hero and simply go crush their portal.
